Following numerous reports of failures on behalf of police to arrest looters or adequately respond to the riots in London that are now sweeping across the entire UK, curfews and troops on the streets are now being readied as authorities prepare to enforce martial law to quell massive civil unrest.

BBC News twice reported this morning that troops were being readied. The statement was first made by a reporter at 8:30am and then repeated by a Metropolitan Police representative who said “all options were on the table”.

U.K. Home Secretary Theresa May confirms that the government is considering “military support for the police”.

Curfews are also being discussed as authorities prepare to transform Britain into a locked down police state.

“Armoured vehicles have been brought in to clear the streets for the first time by police to tackle what senior officers say is the worst rioting and looting in living memory,” reports the Guardian.

“I have not heard of a curfew on mainland Britain in the past century. [It's] very difficult to impose. I’m not saying that it is definitely the way forward but it is something we have to consider,” Diane Abbott, Labour MP for Hackney North and Stoke Newington told BBC Breakfast.

Former London mayor Ken Livingstone called for police to use water cannons to disperse the rioters.

Having started in poorer areas of London, the riots have now spread to other major cities including Bristol, Nottingham, Liverpool and Manchester.

There can be little doubt that the vast majority of the rioters are products of the country’s broken society, nihilistic youths who care little about political grievances and are primarily focused with exploiting the chaos to steal as much booty as they possibly can while getting off on mindless violence. This behavior ensures the public will overwhelmingly support whatever measures are proposed to deal with them, even to the point of outright martial law.

These youths should not be seen as the vanguard of some kind of genuine revolution against an abusive system. If that were the case they would be rioting outside of Downing Street, the Houses of Parliament and Buckingham Palace. Instead they are burning down private homes and businesses while looting high-end electrical goods and clothing.

But what has exacerbated the situation is the lackluster police response, with numerous reports from the public that police stood back and allowed looters to pillage both large department stores and private small businesses for hours on end.

During the initial riots in Tottenham on Sunday night, police were criticized for “standing back and allowing rioters to cause havoc.” This trend has continued throughout the three nights of mayhem, with eyewitnesses bewildered at how the police have obviously been ordered not to arrest looters and rioters in some instances.

We have been predicting the onset of widespread rioting and civil unrest for years, particularly in the UK. Last year we wrote that crippling austerity cuts would force the economically deprived to “take to the streets with a mind set of nothing to lose if the government handouts they have become dependent on are drastically reduced.”

Make no mistake about it, these riots will be hastily exploited by the system to turn Britain into an even more controlled and surveilled police state than it already is. The riots achieve absolutely nothing aside from making the establishment look reasonable in whatever response it takes, measures which will be fully supported by a public bombarded with images of chaos, looting and burning.

EGYPT: RESISTING!

Egypt , just like Tunesia, is resisting and fed up with not having basic human rights. This is what happens when you raise a voice against dictators and just claim your fundemental rights...

The Obama administration expressed its support for under fire Egyptian dictator Hosni Mubarak even as footage emerged of a protester being shot dead by Mubarak’s security forces in Cairo, as the government shut down the Internet, land lines and the mobile phone network in a desperate bid to cling on to power amidst widespread rioting.

“Vice President Joe Biden spoke to the PBS NewsHour tonight with the most direct US government comments yet about the gathering Egypt protests against President Hosni Mubarak’s 29-year reign,” reports The Christian Science Monitor.

Speaking to Jim Lehrer, Biden refused to call Mubarek a dictator, and went on to lend his support to a man who presides over $1.3 billion in U.S. military aid each year.

“Mubarak has been an ally of ours in a number of things. And he’s been very responsible on, relative to geopolitical interest in the region, the Middle East peace efforts; the actions Egypt has taken relative to normalizing relationship with – with Israel. … I would not refer to him as a dictator,” said Biden, who went on to imply that some of the protesters’ demands were illegitimate.

The demonstrations are firmly centered around spiraling fuel and food prices, rising unemployment, as well as police brutality and torture of political dissidents. These factors have culminated in protesters turning on Mubarek and his regime.

“Our government is a dictatorship. A total dictatorship,” said Mohamed Fahim, a 29-year-old glass factory worker, as he stood near the charred skeleton of a car.

“It’s our right to choose our government ourselves. We have been living 29 years, my whole life, without being able to choose a president.”

The rage only intensified after authorities moved to shut down Internet access, the mobile phone network and even land lines across large areas of the country, primarily in an attempt to restrict access to the Associated Press footage showing a protester being shot dead in the street, one of at least eight victims who have been killed since the uprising began. Mubarek’s regime is also desperate to stop activists from organizing via Facebook and Twitter.

As Tyler Durden writes, the ludicrous decision to stoke more anger and chaos by shutting down communications gives an insight into what might happen under similar conditions in America.

“Ironically this act of desperation in Egypt which seeks to prevent the ongoing televising of the revolution, would be precisely the match that would set off America on a certain path to revolution: not ongoing banker rape, not Primary Dealers stealing from babies, not Greek president G-Pap robbing your wallet… merely a shutdown of Facebook and Twitter (and possibly cable) and 300 million well-armed American will promptly go apeshit.”

Despite a myriad of justifiable reasons why Egyptians would want to stage a revolution, one wonders why it took them 29 years of Mubarek’s despotic reign to do so. Are we merely witnessing a natural domino effect from what happened in Tunisia, or are there darker forces at work? Namely, the same NGO’s and elitists that were behind previous color revolutions that were artificially contrived in order to make the target country a vassal state for the new world order?

If Egyptians are given the same “freedoms” that Americans enjoy – particularly the right to choose one of two puppet Presidents controlled by the same elite every four years – will its population be equally as angry when their country becomes the next Iraq – a conquered outpost for the new global government empire?

Egyptians are right to revolt against the tyranny they have been subjected to for almost three decades, but the most important aspect of the situation now becomes the aftermath. Should Mubarek be toppled and his regime swept away, will Egypt retain its sovereignty under a popularly elected government that serves the people, or will the country simply be picked off by encircling geopolitical vultures and turned into another frontier, another giant US/NATO military base and another stepping stone towards the invasion of Iran?

YOU ARE THE RESISTANCE

The historical foundation of the V for Victory symbol is firmly rooted in the stirring spirit of ordinary French people who risked deportation, concentration camps and death in merely expressing their symbolic resistance to being occupied by the Nazis during World War Two.

After the Nazi occupation of France, Victor Auguste de Laveleye, former Belgian minister of Justice and director of the Belgian French-speaking broadcasts on the BBC, picked up on the V’s that were already being scrawled all over Paris by frustrated French citizens demonstrating their opposition to their new slave masters, and devised a massive allied propaganda campaign that would use the V symbol against the Nazis as an act of psychological warfare.

During a radio broadcast, Laveleye explained the power behind the symbol.

“[T]he occupier, by seeing this sign, always the same, infinitely repeated, [would] understand that he is surrounded, encircled by an immense crowd of citizens eagerly awaiting his first moment of weakness, watching for his first failure.”

The V symbol was then adapted by Churchill in his familiar hand salutes, and subsequently broadcast in the form of Morse code to French listeners of Radio Londres, a station broadcast by the Free French forces into occupied France. The audible V was made up of the first four notes of Beethoven’s 5th Symphony, which were meant to represent fate knocking at one’s door – another act of psychological warfare against the Nazis given the fact that Beethoven was German.

The radio station’s purpose was to counter the propaganda of the Vichy collaborators and the Nazis, while at the same time passing on messages to the French Resistance and encouraging the spirit of resistance amongst the general population as a whole.

The launch of the Infowars V For victory campaign is partly a tribute to resistance movements throughout the ages who against all odds have stood up against tyranny. It is also about sending a message to Homeland Security and the new world order in general that we will not meekly accept the destruction of America and its replacement with a decaying banana republic in which people are told to inform on each other and a country in which anyone who exercises their constitutional rights or criticizes the state is labeled a terrorist, which is exactly the case in the DHS’ own internal documents.

This is about re-asserting the fact that our lives are led by the pursuit of freedom, prosperity and happiness – the American dream – and not by fear, division and intimidation. This is about sending a message to the American people that we should stand united against the abuses of big government, not become tattle-tales for the state.

CRITICISMS

Criticisms are inevitable with any campaign we launch and indeed the Infowars team had already discussed several of the points that subsequently emerged before we even began the campaign.

- The guy that shot up the school board painted a big V on the wall before threatening people with a gun.

The gunman, 56-year-old Clay Duke, spray-painted a V within a circle, and was clearly influenced to do so by the 2006 movie V For Vendetta. Indeed, Duke’s own Facebook page confirmed he was a fan of the movie. As we have repeatedly stated, our campaign has nothing to do with this movie, it is influenced by the spirit of the French Resistance in their struggle against Nazi occupation during the early 1940′s. This is not V for Vendetta – our inspiration is the V for Victory campaign which was adopted by the allies as a psychological warfare tactic against the Nazis, having been started by members of the frustrated occupied French who wanted to express their symbolic resistance against the Nazis.

Any establishment media mouthpiece that attempts to link our campaign with Clay Duke is insulting the legacy of thousands of French fathers, mothers, sons and daughters, who were sent to Nazi death camps, had their heads chopped off with axes, or were massacred by German troops for standing up against occupation.

- Why are you siding with the French Resistance? They were all communists.

This charge has been leveled by people who spent five minutes doing a cursory google search and clicking on a couple of Wikipedia links. Anyone who reads a proper history book concerning the period, such as the acclaimed The Resistance by Matthew Cobb, will discover that the French Resistance comprised of people from numerous political persuasions, from leftists, to right-wingers, from union workers to business owners, to ordinary citizens. Indeed, the man who later became the ideological figurehead of the French Resistance, General Charles de Gaulle, was an extremely conservative individual.

In modern-day political parlance, the Gaullist label is often attributed to a leading political party or movement in France that is said to “transcend the left/right rift” and is characterized as populist.

- The V is an occult symbol and Infowars/Prison Planet/Alex Jones is part of the illuminati conspiracy.

As a poster on our Facebook page commented, at some stage in history every symbol has been hijacked by one occult or evil group for their own purposes. The inverted Nazi swastika began as far back as 4,000 BC and was later used by numerous Asian religions and traditions before being hijacked by the 3rd Reich. The meaning of the symbol draws on the motivation behind the message. We have also likened the V symbol to a pyramid turned upside down – this doesn’t mean we are working for the illuminati. We are reclaiming the V for Victory symbol and using it in the spirit of the French Resistance of the 1940′s – it has no other connotation for our purposes.

As one of our readers commented, “V For Victory. You couldn’t have come up with a better symbol if you tried. You have subconsciously suggested, ironically, an upturned Illuminati, New world order pyramid symbol? You’ve created an anti Illuminati logo.”

- What’s the point in posting V flyers everywhere? it won’t achieve anything.

Why did the occupied French write V’s everywhere in Paris and other areas of France? Why did the successful allies devise a huge psychological warfare campaign to use the V symbol against the Nazis? This is not just about waking up the general public, it’s about connecting with the people inside the system who do the legwork for the new world order agenda. We are already getting emails (1,2) from people within Homeland Security and the Federal Reserve who are rebelling against their bosses because of our work and others like us.

In addition, if posting messages is completely pointless, why does Homeland Security spend millions placing video messages at Wal-Mart checkouts telling Americans to spy on each other? If it had no effect, why would they bother? The modern day equivalent of the Vichy traitors (the Obama administration) is indoctrinating the sheeple to police each other, they’re coercing obedience to the state. Our campaign uses the exact same tactic but with the opposite message – we are coercing freedom and liberty.

Now that we have expanded on the motivations behind the V For Victory campaign, we look forward to a flood of people participating in this new outreach by printing off the V For Victory flyers or using one of the dozens of excellent alternatives created by fans, and posting them throughout their local community.

Bankers Destroy Global Economy by Design to Consolidate Power

The unprecedented €750bn EU bailout represents part of an ongoing program of mass centralization of governance in Europe according to the world’s leading bankers and economists.

Under the headline “Towards a United States of Europe” the Financial Times quotes key players who conclude that the bailout is part of an overall consolidation in Europe and represents a giant step toward a fiscal union in the eurozone.

Morgan Stanley’s European Chief Economist, Elga Bartsch notes:

Like the ERM crisis in the early 1990s spurred on political initiatives to bring about the long-planned monetary union in Europe, it seems that the sovereign debt crisis could be acting as a catalyst for an ever closer union of European countries. The decisions taken this weekend first by European leaders and then by finance ministers mark a big leap towards a fiscal union in the euro area, we think.

Not only have countries agreed to stand in for each other in an unprecedented extent, they have also agreed to foregoing some of their fiscal sovereignty and submit to rigorous fiscal consolidation programmes should they require financial assistance.

In other words, European states are literally signing over their independence to a monolithic centralized system under the threat of economic obliteration.

Marco Annunziata, chief economist of Italian megabank UniCredit concurs with this analysis:

The new stabilization fund represents another step towards “passive” fiscal integration, that is member countries explicitly assuming joint responsibility for each other’s obligation. To avoid the risk of violating the no-bailout clause, this is done in the form of a pooling of resources to rescue member countries in stress and not formally shouldering their existing debt obligations; moreover, financial support would be extended only based on tough conditionality on adjustment measures. However, the substance is the same: member countries have to jointly put their resources at stake to support the weaker members.

Annunziata also states that the IMF’s contribution to the bailout fund indicates a “depressing confirmation that at this stage that the EU is unable to design and enforce conditionality on its own.”

“The true decisions needed for the longer-term survival of the Eurozone still need to be taken.” Annunziata adds, echoing German premier Angela Merkel’s call to “address the root of the problem”

“We have to fight the causes of the difficulties, so budget consolidation in all member states is increasingly important,” Merkel said. “The access to the guarantees … will be linked to countries presenting budget consolidation programs to the IMF and the EU, which will then be regularly inspected.”

Financial commentator Gregory White of The Business Insider further explains how the Euro rescue represents a move towards a Federal European setup:

Like the United States prior to revolution and under the Articles of Confederation, the eurozone exists within the context of a weak, decentralized government. Policies of taxation and budgets are primarily controlled at state level. But other key issues, like price stability and inflation, are controlled by the European Central Bank. There is therefore a divergence of interests that needs to be rectified.

Bailing out its fringe repeatedly is not a long-term solution to this problem. Forming a eurozone treasury, which can issue its own debt to support the area and manage the budgets of its member states, is.

In other words, the sovereign nation state as viable economic entity is being jettisoned in favour of a vastly empowered European Central Bank and European Union.

Of course, this has been the idea all along, we were presented with the problem, for the past 3 years we have witnessed a reaction of great destabilization and now we are being presented with the solution – more mass centralization in the name of stability.

Americans should prepare for the same thing to happen to state independence as soon as the crisis really hits on their side of the pond.

Greece is just the "tip of the iceberg” of a sovereign debt crisis that has the potential to derail a global recovery, Nouriel Roubini has warned.

Nouriel Roubini was one of the few to anticipate the scale of the crisis Photo: Getty Images Professor Roubini, the New York-based academic who was one of the few to anticipate the scale of the financial crisis, told a panel in California that the buildup of debt is likely to lead to countries defaulting or resorting to inflation to ease the burden on their populations.

“While today markets are worried about Greece, Greece is just the tip of the iceberg,” Roubini told the Milken Institute Global Conference in Beverly Hills, California. "The thing I worry about is the buildup of sovereign debt.”

Although Greece's misreporting of the scale of its own debt has helped shatter investors' faith, the southern European country is not alone in its struggle. The depth of the property bust in both Spain and Portugal has prompted the ratings agency Standard & Poor's to downgrade the creditworthiness of both.

European leaders, led by German chancellor Angela Merkel, the International Monetary Fund and Greece's leaders are scrambling to approve a bail-out for Greece as financial markets drive its borrowing costs higher.

"The ripple effects across the market are now more visible," said Ciaran O'Hagan, an analyst at Societe Generale. "Contagion is amplifying."

Italy's sale of up to €8bn euros of debt today will, according to analysts, provide a good gauge of whether the concerns about Greece and Portugal are spreading to other members of the Eurozone.

Britain's airspace was closed under false pretences, with satellite images revealing there was no doomsday volcanic ash cloud over the entire country.
Skies fell quiet for six days, leaving as many as 500,000 Britons stranded overseas and costing airlines hundreds of millions of pounds.

Estimates put the number of Britons still stuck abroad at 35,000.

However, new evidence shows there was no all-encompassing cloud and, where dust was present, it was often so thin that it posed no risk.
The satellite images demonstrate that the skies were largely clear, which will not surprise the millions who enjoyed the fine, hot weather during the flight ban.
Jim McKenna, the Civil Aviation Authority's head of airworthiness, strategy and policy, admitted: 'It's obvious that at the start of this crisis there was a lack of definitive data.

'It's also true that for some of the time, the density of ash above the UK was close to undetectable.'

The satellite images will be used by airlines in their battle to win tens of millions of pounds in compensation from governments for their losses.

The National Air Traffic Control Service decision to ban flights was based on Met Office computer models which painted a picture of a cloud of ash being blown south from the Eyjafjallajokull volcano.

These models should have been tested by the Met Office's main research plane, a BAE 146 jet, but it was in a hangar to be repainted and could not be sent up until last Tuesday - the last day of the ban.
Evidence has emerged that the maximum density of the ash was only about one 20th of the limit that scientists, the Government, and aircraft and engine manufacturers have now decided is safe.
British Airways chief Willie Walsh always insisted the total shutdown went too far.
'My personal belief is that we could have safely continued operating for a period,' he said.
Mark Tanzer, chief executive of Britain's ABTA, which represents British travel agents and tour operators, said about 100,000 stranded British travellers should have been returned home by Monday morning.

About 35,000 more will remain marooned until Friday, the group said.
'While most flights are back to normal, and most stranded British passengers will be back by the end of this weekend, there is still quite a high level of disruption in some destinations.

'In some areas of the world, there is a significant lack of air capacity to enable British people to be returned quickly,' Tanzer said.
Many Icelandic airports are closed and though authorities say Eyjafjallajokull is now producing much less ash, they confirmed no signs of the eruption ending

On 15 April 2010, airspace was closed over Britain and most of Europe.

Airspace opened again on 21 April 2010.

NATO was carrying out a large airforce exercise in Europe between 12 April and 22 April 2010.

On 25 April 2010, The Mail on Sunday (The ash cloud that never was.) reports that:

1. During the crisis, the main aircraft used by the UK Meteorological Office to measure ash density was grounded, 'as it was due to be repainted'.

2. Computers at the Met Office produced maps showing the ash would cover an area stretching from Russia to Newfoundland.

But across almost all of this area, there was virtually no ash at all.

There was none visible to satellites.

3. The maximum density of ash over Britain was about one twentieth of the limit that scientists, the Government, and aircraft and engine manufacturers have now decided is safe.

Jim McKenna, the Civil Aviation Authority's head of Airworthiness, Strategy and Policy has admitted: 'It's also true that for some of the time, the density of ash above the UK was close to undetectable.'

Was the Iceland volcano story faked?

1. The media manipulated the images of the eruption of the Eyjafjallajökull volcano.

The media used images of the volcano which were a week old.

Imagery of an eruption was shown at a time when the mountain was peaceful.

2. If there was a lot of ash, filming the volcano would be difficult. The lens would be covered in ash?

3. There have always been volcanic eruptions in Iceland. Many were worse than the present eruption. But past eruptions have not caused problems for airlines.

4. There have been very big eruptions from the largest volcano in Europe, Mount Etna in Sicily.

Etna erupted in 2002.

Satellite images showed a many hundred of kilometer long time plume of smoke from Etna.

But neither smoke nor ash stopped air traffic at that time.

"Some wonder whether there is something else going on under the cover of earthquake eruptions, such as a test run to shut down air travel internationally."

So, they cleared the air of civil aircraft?

"NATO Secretary-General Anders Fogh Rasmussen said on 19 April 2010 that the ash cloud was not affecting the alliance's military readiness." (Iceland eruption )

On 20 April 2010, The Mail reported that 40 test flights across Europe found NO evidence of ash in jet engines, windows or lubrication systems. (Iceland volcano eruption: Met Office criticised. )

Matthias Ruete, the European Commission's director general of transport, said air traffic authorities should not have imposed a widespread ban on flights.

Iceland has had fairly frequent volcanic eruptions and sometimes they have gone on for many months.

None of the previous eruptions has affected international air travel in the same way as the April 2010 eruption.

As the Telegraph points out today, "Volcanoes have pumped ash plumes of this size and bigger into the atmosphere many times in the past without turning an entire continent into a no-fly zone."

Volcanic erruptions are fairly frequent in Indonesia.

In 1982, in Indonesia, a British Airways Jumbo flew directly over an erupting volcano and lost power to all its engines.

Large rocks were found in the engines.

The jumbo did regain power and landed safely.

Among the points made:

1. After the eruption of the Eyjafjallajoekull volcano in Iceland on April 14 air traffic across Europe was grounded.

2. Joachim Hunold, CEO of Germany's second largest carrier, Air Berlin, stated in Bild am Sonntag, "not one single weather ballon has been put up in Germany to measure if and how much volcanic ash there is in the air. The closing of the airspace is entirely based on the results of a computer simulation at the Volcanic Ash Advisory Centre (VAAC) in England."

3. Veteran Air France pilot, Steven Savignol, said: "I can tell you from my own experience that with blue skies, aircrafts can fly perfectly and very safely. They made test flights with Air France, KLM, Lufthansa and of course, all is ok!"

4. The VAAC in England was working from a "computer simulation," and "has not even conducted an actual sky ash measurement."

The agency responsible for Volcanic Ash measurement for the region, including Iceland, is Britain's "Met Office," the UK's National Weather Service, which in turn is a Trading Fund within the Ministry of Defence, operating on a commercial basis under set targets according to their website.

5. The Iceland eruption is a relatively minor one.

6. Modern jet aircraft engines are robust, says Air France's Savignol.

They have to face not only the hazards of bird strikes, but rain, hail and even salt spray on take-off from coastal airports. Furthermore, sand is a common hazard from dust storms and from desert airfields.

7. The blanket ban under clear blue skies and glorious sunshine across Europe made some wonder whether there was something else going on under the cover of earthquake eruptions, such as a test run to shut down air travel internationally.

Since no one has ever been injured from an aircraft disabled by a volcanic eruption, it is a question that lingers.

CANCER CURE?

Scottish scientists have made cancer tumours vanish within 10 days by sending DNA to seek and destroy the cells.

The system, developed at Strathclyde and Glasgow universities, is being hailed as a breakthrough because it appears to eradicate tumours without causing harmful side-effects. A leading medical journal has described the results so far as remarkable, while Cancer Research UK said they were encouraging.

Dr Christine Dufes, a lecturer at the Strathclyde Institute of Pharmacy and Biomedical Sciences and leader of the research, said: “The tumours were completely gone within 10 days. It is fantastic. When you talk about 10 days that is the time frame for curing a cold. Imagine if within 10 days you could completely make a tumour disappear.”

As the EU Observer reports, Information Society Commissioner Viviane Reding has called on President Obama to fully privatize the California based Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN), which manages the web address system for the internet, and build a “multilateral forum for governments to discuss general internet governance policy and security issues.” The international group would in turn “make recommendations” with regards to global internet governance.

Reding is anticipating the expiration of the ICANN contract with the U.S. Department of Commerce in September of 2009, calling for a separation of ICANN from its U.S. ties, making ICANN an international organization. Reding states,

“The expiry of the agreement between ICANN and the US government “opens the door for the full privatisation of ICANN, and it also raises the question of to whom ICANN should be accountable.”

“In the long run, it is not defendable that the government department of only one country has oversight of an internet function which is used by hundreds of millions of people in countries all over the world,” Reding said.

Reding’s comments provide a window into a wider agenda to transform the internet. Reding stated in October of 2008 that, “The Internet of the future will radically change our society.” Ultimately, according to Reding, the EU is aiming to “lead the way” in the transformation to “Web 3.0.”

Media Kingpin Rupert Murdoch recently announced that “The current days of the internet will soon be over,” indicating the establishment’s move to radically transform the internet away from its current form. Paul Joseph Watson writes, “The establishment media is dying and advertising revenue has plummeted as people turn to blogs and the alternative media for their news in an environment of corporate lies and spin.”

Watson continues,

“The corporate media monopoly has terminal cancer and they are losing their power, which is why they are aggressively supporting moves to phase out the old Internet altogether and replace it with “Internet 2,” a highly regulated and controlled electronic Berlin wall, where alternative voices will be silenced and giant corporate propaganda organs will dominate once again.”

The future of the internet, according to author and “web critic” Andrew Keen, will be monitored by “gatekeepers” to verify the accuracy of information posted on the web. The “Outlook 2009″ report from the November-December issue of The Futurist reports that,

“Internet entrepreneur Andrew Keen believes that the anonymity of today’s internet 2.0 will give way to a more open internet 3.0 in which third party gatekeepers monitor the information posted on Web sites to verify its accuracy.”

Keen stated during his early 2008 interview with The Futurist that the internet, in its current form, has undermined mainline media and empowered untrustworthy “amateurs”, two trends that he - and the establishment that he represents - wants reversed. “Rather than the empowerment of the amateur, Web 3.0 will show the resurgence of the professional,” states Keen.

PANDEMICS AND COLD HARD CASH

The phase 5 pandemic declaration by the WHO, has allowed numerous entities to enact self-serving solutions that otherwise couldn’t have been achieved. First, the hyped crisis officially authorized the use of Tamiflu stockpiles around the globe that are due to expire in 2009-2010. Secondly, the hysteria that emerged from the media hype and government fearmongering, has also allowed for the implementation of a long term plan by vaccine manufacturers, governmental institutions, and virology think-tanks, to use investigational pre-pandemic vaccines to prime the public in advance of a threatened outbreak of a novel hybrid virus.

More than a week after the public announcement of this novel H1N1 strain, the WHO has yet to determine the origin of the virus. The complex reassortment of the novel virus, coupled with the location and time of year of the outbreak, has lead to numerous speculations that the novel virus was the result of a lab creation that either escaped, or was released intentionally to achieve numerous globalist agendas. Surprisingly in 2004, the CDC conducted multiple experiments in an attempt to create a new hybrid virus in a lab. The reason given to perform such dangerous experiments, was the threat of nature creating a hybrid virus with the killing rate of the avian flu, and transmissibility of human flu viruses. Using two methods, first they infected cells in laboratory tissue cultures, with H5N1 avian flu and H3N2 human virus, to see if they would mix. Secondly, they used reverse genetics to assemble a new virus that contained H5N1 and H3N2. Any viable viruses that emerged from these combinations, would in turn be seeded into ferrets, according to David Daigle, CDC spokesman.

Center for Infectious Disease Research and Policy
(CIDRAP) reported:

With obvious risks in creating viruses with the potential to spark a pandemic, the work will be done in a biosafety level 3 (BSL-3) laboratory at the CDC in Atlanta Daigle told CIDRAP News.

"We recognize that there is concern by some over this type of work. This concern may be heightened by reports of recent lab exposures in other lab facilities," he said. "But CDC has an incredible record in lab safety and is taking very strict precautions."

The CDC might have a public track record of not accidentally releasing or losing samples, but other labs who perform these types of experiments have. There have been several instances of potentially pandemic virus strains, being released or lost from labs. In an interview with NPR, Professor John Oxford at St. Bart’s and the Royal London Hospital, made the following statement concerning a released strain of H1N1:

Even though health officials are calling this new virus H1N1, that’s also the type of virus that’s in wide circulation today. And it has an interesting history. It was the dominant flu virus through the 1920s, ’30s and ’40s. Oxford says it disappeared in 1957, when it was displaced by another flu virus. But then a strain of H1N1 suddenly reappeared in 1977.

"Now where could it have come from?" he asks. "We reckon now, in retrospect, it was probably released accidentally from a laboratory, probably in northern China or just across the border in Russia, because everyone was experimenting with those viruses at the time in the lab."

It was nothing malicious, Oxford believes, just some flu vaccine research that broke out of containment. The descendents of this virus are still circulating. He notes that most people who have encountered the newly emerged H1N1 virus seem to have developed only mild disease, and he speculates that’s because we have all been exposed to a distant cousin, the H1N1 virus that emerged in the 1970s.

"That escaped virus perhaps will provide some benefit now in the face of this pig thing," Oxford says.

Also in 2005, the WHO reported samples of the H2N2 virus were lost in transit to Mexico, South Korea, and Lebanon.

The AP reported:

In Lebanon, the shipper of a missing sample had released the virus to another shipper for local delivery, but it never arrived at the lab, Stohr told the AP. People were trying to locate the test kit and destroy the sample.

In South Korea, investigators were puzzling over conflicting accounts. Officials at three labs said they had never received shipments made last year, but the shipper had signatures showing they had been delivered, Stohr said.

The virus in question, influenza A(H2N2), was responsible for the flu pandemic of 1957-58, which killed an estimated 1 million to 4 million people. Samples of the pandemic virus had inadvertently been sent to 3,747 labs in 18 countries for a routine assessment that usually relies on more benign flu strains. All but about 75 labs that received the samples are in the United States, according to earlier reports. Fourteen labs are in Canada and 61 are in other countries.

In another potentially pandemic lab mix-up, Baxter shipped live H5N1 samples mixed with ordinary human H3N2 flu to labs in 18 different countries. The dangerous mixture was caught when in February 2009, a lab in the Czech Republic working for Avir, alerted Baxter that, unexpectedly, ferrets inoculated with the sample had died. Ab Osterhaus of Erasmus University in the Netherlands told the The Times of India:

Accidental release of a mixture of live H5N1 and H3N2 viruses could have resulted in dire consequences. While H5N1 doesn’t easily infect people, H3N2 viruses do. If someone exposed to a mixture of the two had been simultaneously infected with both strains, he or she could have served as an incubator for a hybrid virus able to transmit easily to and among people.

In a unconscionable turn of events, Baxter is working with the WHO to develop a new swine flu vaccine based on the Mexican strain.

Finally, the Army reported that 3 vials containing samples of Venezuelan Equine Encephalitis, a virus that sickens horses and can be spread to humans by mosquitoes, were discovered missing after performing an inventory check of a retired scientist’s biological samples.

These facts prove the potential for pandemic virus experiments to escape labs, and be released into the public due to negligence, or criminal intent as in the 2001 Anthrax case.

The CDC later reported with disappointment, that the experiments failed to spread the virus from infected ferrets to healthy ones in neighboring cages.

"We found that they [the viruses] were not able to transmit efficiently," said CDC researcher Dr. Jackie Katz, speaking at a Jul 28 teleconference. "In fact, they were also not as able to cause severe disease as the original H5N1 virus."

According to Dr. Katz, the most important aspect of the research is "the knowledge that this process isn’t simple, the procedure for the virus to acquire the properties of transmissibility."

This means that although hybrids could be created in a lab setting, the result is less lethal and has a reduced transmission rate. Scientists believe the 1918 pandemic arose through slowly accumulating mutations rather than a reassortment event similar to the experiments.

These are very key points to ponder, a controlled novel hybrid virus can be manufactured in a lab that has the genetic signature of a potentially pandemic strain without being lethal. This would explain the puzzled response from doctors who were concerned the new hybrid virus from Mexico was a deadly strain.

Since this new virus was first reported as a swine flu epidemic, let’s look at how swine respond to virus mixing. In a February 2009 article appearing in Eurosurveillance, the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC) states the following:

Swine are susceptible to the same influenza A virus subtypes as humans – H1N1, H3N2 and H1N2 - and the histories of influenza in pigs and people are closely linked [1]. Many swine influenza viruses are a result of reassortment and their genes are composed of human and avian and/or swine virus genes. Indeed, it is known that both human and avian influenza viruses occasionally transmit to pigs, and that pigs can serve as “mixing vessels” for these viruses, meaning that viruses can exchange genetic material and lead to the production of a new “hybrid” virus [2]. This has led to the thinking that perhaps pandemic viruses could emerge following reassortment in pigs. However, since nobody has observed the start of a pandemic, there remains no direct evidence to make this more than a theory.

Even if the magnitude of the risk of swine influenza virus infections to human health is unknown, it seems unlikely to be high.

The unknown element is the risk of reassortment to produce a novel virus, even a pandemic strain either in the pig “mixing vessel” or in a human dually infected with a human and pig strain. In the United States there have recently appeared triple reassortant swine influenza viruses with avian, human and swine genes and these have then transmitted to humans [19,20]. Fortunately, these and similar swine influenza viruses [21] that can infect humans have not yet met any of the criteria to cause a human pandemic.

This is another confirmation from experts at the ECDC, that a hybrid virus that contains a triple reassortment of swine, avian and human flu, was not lethal enough to meet the criteria to justify a global pandemic on par with the 1918 Spanish flu.

Another important clinical report released in February ‘09, proves researchers had previously seen triple reassortant strains in a human host on a farm in Wisconsin in 2005. The 17 year old boy who became ill, was slaughtering pigs without any facial or respiratory protection 3 days prior to his infection. A few chickens were housed at the slaughterhouse premises, but no poultry were slaughtered on site. Similar to the current case in Mexico, no ill pigs were found, and no other family members or workers at the slaughterhouse became ill. A month prior to his infection he had an inactivated influenza vaccine administered intramuscularly. The boys symptoms are consistent with the Mexico outbreak with headache, running nose, low back pain, upper respiratory tract symptoms, and a cough without fever. He was treated and made a full recovery and no other outbreaks occurred in relation to the families farm. Another fact that correlates with the Mexican outbreak is the mean age of the infected, which is 17 according to the CDC.

This is even more evidence that these hybrid triple assortant novel viruses are mild at best, and have a limited ability to be transfered from human to human. It also proves that this virus has been documented before in the US and has the same genetic signature of the novel virus in Mexico. Several different patient cases and experiments show that this virus is relatively mild and has a low human to human transmissibility rate, so why is the Mexico outbreak being hyped up to global pandemic proportions?

Worldwide government stockpiles of Tamiflu set to expire in 2009-2010

Several governments are reporting that their stockpiles of Tamiflu are either at or near the expiration date, here, here, here, here, here, and finally the US.

The aging stockpile presented a problem for several governments, but the Phase 5 alert issued by the WHO would prove to be beneficial. On April 27th, the FDA issued an Emergency Use Authorization (EUA), for Tamiflu (oseltamavir) and Relenza (zanamivir) antivirals, at or nearing expiration.

The FDA press release reports:

The EUA authority permits the FDA to allow use of “unapproved or uncleared medical products or unapproved or uncleared uses of approved or cleared medical products” during an established emergency. Such use ends when either the swine flu emergency is deemed over or the authorization is revoked. Under the EUAs, Tamiflu and Relenza may be given to large population sectors without compliance with label requirements and can be distributed by some public health officials and volunteers based on state and local laws and/or public health emergency responses, explained the FDA.

So it seems the global stockpiling problem has been solved, enabling the use of these expired and expiring products. In turn, governments and other institutions will have to buy more of these antivirals since we are still in the midst of a declared pandemic. This was accurately forecasted by Roche in their 2009 sales projections that were released in a 2008 annual report.

Chugai, the Japanese unit of Swiss drugmaker Roche Holding AG, 2008 annual report to shareholders and investors included the following information specific to the sales of Tamiflu:

stockpiling in FY2009 and the ongoing recovery
of the prescription rate for seasonal influenza.

Roche’s outlook was spot on according to their Q1 earnings released on April 16th.

Global sales of Tamiflu (oseltamivir), for influenza, rose 38% overall to 401 million Swiss francs in the first quarter. Growth was driven by sales to governments and corporations for pandemic stockpiling, including significant new orders in Japan and the United Kingdom, where the governments have announced plans to double the size of their existing stockpiles of antiviral medicines. This more than compensated for lower seasonal sales, particularly in the United States, where flu outbreaks were less severe than in the 2007/2008 season.

Although the profit outlook for Roche looks bright now, this years stock in the U.S. has become relatively ineffective, due to a genetic mutation of the H1N1 strain that now has a 98% resistance to Tamiflu, according to the CDC.

Just so happens that the solution to this problem has also appeared right on time, GlaxoSmithKline has upped production of their inhaled flu drug, Relenza to 5 million a month. The Tamiflu resistant H1N1 strain has proved to be a boost for the antiviral maker with Q1 ‘09 sales of $324 million, which is triple the sales for all of 2008. This is largely due to stockpiling by Japan and the UK, who just received 10.6 million treatment packs in April of 2009 prior to the outbreak.

In another perfectly timed occurrence, GSK has also broke new ground in the emerging pre-pandemic vaccine market according to their press release:

In 2008, GSK became the first company to obtain a European license for a pre-pandemic vaccine, Prepandrix. This vaccine is designed to raise immune protection against several strains of the H5N1 virus. Also in 2008, GSK received a European license for Pandemrix, a ‘mock-up’ pandemic vaccine. This approval, which was based on data involving the H5N1 strain, will also enable faster registration of a potential pandemic vaccine against other strains, including H1N1.

It’s clearly evident this hyped pandemic will result in skyrocketing profits for antiviral makers and their stakeholders like Donald Rumsfeld.

Pre-Pandemic Priming

The subject of priming, was first broke by Dr. Leonard Horowitz’s research into Dr. James S. Robertson, and his connections with the CDC and lucrative biodefense contracts linked to Novavax. Horowitz urged the investigation of Dr. Roberston and Novavax due to the genetically-modified recombinants of the avian, swine, and Spanish flu viruses, H5N1 and H1N1, nearly identical to the unprecedented Mexican virus. Based on Horowitz’s claims, I researched the keyword priming and how it relates to pandemic vaccines, and I stumbled upon an industry push to implement this practice once the perfect crisis emerged.

In a timely press release from April 14th, Novavax and the CDC, released the results from a preclinical study showing that an investigational H1N1 virus-like particle (VLP) vaccine based on the 1918 Spanish influenza strain, protected against both the Spanish flu and a highly pathogenic H5N1 avian influenza strain.

Dr. Gale Smith, Vice President of Vaccine Development at Novavax stated:

"The discovery that a VLP-based influenza vaccine candidate created through cell-based recombinant technology has the potential to protect against diverse strains of influenza has significant implications for both pre-pandemic and pandemic preparedness. A broadly protective vaccine administered prior to and during the first wave of a pandemic could prevent widespread morbidity and mortality from a newly emerged pandemic influenza strain and allow time for the development of strain-specific vaccines."

So we have yet another newly created vaccine, that will be marketed as pre-pandemic immunity from a virus, that just magically arrived in the same time frame. This is a key point to consider, due to a ethical issues preventing this concept from being adopted prior to this outbreak.

The WHO, FDA and several influenza researchers have called for pre-pandemic priming in several industry publications. CIDRAP reports on this issue stating:

Any vaccination that took place before a pandemic was detected would offer uncertain amounts of both benefit and risk. As well, the vaccine might cause a greater-than-expected rate of adverse events, causing both direct harm to recipients and indirect damage to government credibility—results that would be particularly difficult to tolerate if vaccination proved unnecessary because the pandemic did not arrive.

The scientific, logistical, and especially ethical questions raised by pre-pandemic vaccination has prevented this agenda from moving forward, but the recent declared pandemic has created the pretext needed to achieve this goal. Dr. Benjamin Schwartz from the National Vaccine Program Office within the Department of Health and Human Services stated the following in the The Journal of Infectious Diseases:

Extraordinary threats call for consideration of innovative strategies that, in less‐threatening circumstances, might be dismissed. Although it has been assumed that pandemic vaccine cannot be stockpiled or that vaccination cannot occur before the start of a pandemic, might these approaches actually be possible?

In addition, the administration of a vaccine against a viral strain that currently causes no or very limited human disease raises ethical issues, because recipients would be exposed to potential adverse reactions for no definite benefit. Most important, would receipt of a vaccine prepared before the pandemic be effective in providing some protection or in priming recipients so that a single subsequent dose of vaccine would be protective?

This is another confirmation that these researchers need a crisis in order to achieve their goal of mass vaccination of the public, for a pandemic they keep threatening will occur. But wait there’s more, I tracked down Dr. Robertson, who Horowitz implicates in his article, and found a similar opinion on the subject of pre-pandemic priming.

An oral report presented to the Royal Society in 2006 by Dr. Robertson states:

Dr. Wood and Dr. Robertson were asked their opinion on priming the population for a pandemic using live vaccines and if they consider it to be a good idea. However the timing is critical; if live H5N1 vaccines are used now it would be considered too dangerous, but if a pandemic is imminent the risk may be justified. A stockpile of live vaccine, with the cleavage site removed, could be used to prime the population in advance of the pandemic reaching the UK. Even without an exact match in virus strain, it is predicted that this would provide a broad immunity to the population.

All of these statements dovetail with scientific reports published from the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC).

"The consensus in our expert groups was that widespread vaccination of people in EU countries would not, at present, be advisable: the vaccine should be deployed in phase 5 or phase 6 of a pandemic."

This crucial piece of information from the ECDC is further proof of the power of the declared phase 5 from the WHO. We can also assume that other governmental institutions around the globe have reached the same conclusion and will also begin deployment of several of these recently developed pre-pandemic vaccines. The phase 5 creates the perfect pretext to achieve the goal of mass priming of the population, carried out by several governments worldwide under the guise of health safety.

The head of the WHO, Margaret Chan, has warned that the outbreak could mutate and return "with a vengeance" in the fall, further pushing fear in order to prompt the public to seek out these new vaccines.

Now that we have evidence showing that this plan is moving forward, lets take a look at how the operation will take place. Dr. Jesse Goodman, the FDA’s acting chief scientist and deputy commissioner for scientific and medical programs, gave a powerpoint presentation to the FDA in 2007 when he was the Director for the Centers Biologics Evaluation and Research, titled Considerations in the Pre- and Early Pandemic Use of Influenza Vaccine.

In this slideshow, one chart stands out amongst all the other data. The chart titled "the first wave will be declining when vaccine becomes available", displays a bell curve graph that shows an outbreak occur in January, peaks in late March early April, then begins declining in May. The seeded pandemic vaccine strain begins in January, the monovalent production starts in March, with the first pre-pandemic priming beginning in May and June. The people who are to be primed will have either licensed or Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) vaccines injected, depending on the WHO’s declared pandemic phase that was covered earlier in this article. Finally, the chart shows the outbreak dropping off in the summer to end the pre-pandemic period.

Does all this sound familiar? It seems that we are following the exact outbreak progression that this chart demonstrates. This compiled data proves that we are in the midst of a global pandemic beta test, that will lead to an attempt in the fall to mass vaccinate the populace.

Several credible doctors such as Congressman Ron Paul, are exposing this hoax as well, in a video posted on YouTube, he warns that this is a hyped event that government is using, in order to gain more control of peoples lives.

Dr. Mercola, also raised concerns about the origin of this outbreak, due to the nefarious history of vaccine manufacturers and biolabs.

This hoax, whether manufactured or taking advantage of, has enabled all aspects of the New World Order agenda to move forward. Resulting in more control, record profits and the opportunity to pose as the savior for the crisis, justifying the role of global government and all the compartmentalized tentacles that extend from it.

THE HYDRA TAKES SHAPE

In the video here, the former Clintonite Dick Morris, who is now a darling of Fox News, tells Sean Hannity the globalists will put the “American economy under international regulation” and “those people who have been yelling, oh, the UN is going to take over… they’ve been crazy, but now they’re right.”

“Those conspiracy people,” Sean Hannity interjects, “had suggested that for years… you’re not wrong.”

It’s the “international regulation of the financial institutions” we have to worry about, warns Dick Morris. It will happen under “IMF control… Remember, the IMF is run by the Europeans and backed by Americans.”

It’s too bad Mr. Morris didn’t give us the rest of the story. The IMF is a loan sharking operation created by the bankers under the Bretton Woods scheme and its primary purpose to date has been to get third world nations into hock so they can be more effectively looted. It is now poised, as Morris eludes, to embark on a far more ambitious bankster scam — to initiate something called “global quantitative easing” by printing billions of dollars worth of a global “super-currency,” deceptively billed as a way to address the economic crisis manufactured by the global elite.

“Alistair Darling and senior figures in the US Treasury have been encouraging the Fund to issue hundreds of billions of dollars worth of so-called Special Drawing Rights (SDRs) in the coming months as part of its campaign to prevent the recession from turning into a global depression,” the Telegraph reported on March 16.

SDRs are now based on four currencies — the US dollar, the Japanese yen, the euro and the British pound. They are used largely as a unit of account by the IMF and other international organizations.

Read between the lines and you get to the bottom of the real reason for the issuance of SDRs — to push for a world currency. Recall a few days ago Zhou Xiaochuan, China’s central bank’s governor, calling for the IMF to forge a new world reserve currency.

China demands a settlement system between the SDRs and other currencies so that they can be used in international trade and financial transactions. The IMF would manage these SDRs and they would gradually replace existing reserve currencies.

As envisioned by our rulers, a world “super-currency” will ultimately require a world government. Morris blames the Europeans for this and he is only partially right — it is a scam long ago devised by international bankers primarily based in Europe and Britain and backed, as Morris admits, by the American financial elite.

The issuance of paper SDRs “would please the plutocratic international bankers” to no end, writes Robert Bradshaw, and this “move would allow them a golden opportunity to print fiat paper money in huge quantities to flood the world. We can be sure that the fat cats [the bankers] would love to have a new paper world currency in their greedy little hands. Since they already control the IMF and most world central banks, such a new global currency would definitely fit into their plans for world rule.”

It is hardly surprising that SDRs and world currency will be on the agenda at the G20 this week. The globalist George Soros has urged Obama to push the SDR agenda and has warned that if a world currency is not established and the global economy collapses (as planned) the United States “shall cease to be the dominant financial power” and “China is liable to come up ahead.” Soros is merely running a time-tested shell game in an effort to get the U.S. to pony up for what will ultimately be its demise, again as planned. China is the model to be used for our totalitarian future.

Dick Morris and the disinfo operative Sean Hannity may indeed be alarmed by this obvious push for world government. It is interesting to note that Hannity has only lately come around to the existence of the New World Order — formerly in the realm of crazy conspiracy theories — now that Obama is in the White House and the Democrats in control of Congress. Hannity and Morris are simply reading from a provided script.

Point is, the New World Order wants you to know what they have in mind for you. It tickles them to give you a preview of things to come now that the New Savior is in office and enjoying high popularity — a one world government with a high-tech control grid overlay designed to usher in a brave new world of hellish serfdom and eventually the dream of our eugenicist rulers: a mass culling of the herd who are considered little more than useless eaters.

Making an appearance on the Morning Joe television show, the Rockefeller globalist Zbigniew Brzezinski said it is high time the rich who have made billions since the days of the Clinton administration help out the poor and struggling masses. Said Brzezinski:

Where is the monied class today? Why aren’t they doing something: the people who made billions, millions. I’m sort of thinking of Paulson, of Rubin. Why don’t they get together, and why don’t they organize a National Solidarity Fund in which they call on all of those who made these extraordinary amounts of money to kick some back in to [a] National Solidarity Fund?

Brzezinski almost looked grandfatherly as he said this (see video). He almost came off as a good-natured humanitarian… almost. It all sounded good, if implausible — that is until Brzezinski reached the end of his carefully crafted diatribe:

And if we don’t get some sort of voluntary National Solidarity Fund, at some point there’ll be such political pressure that Congress will start getting in the act, there’s going to be growing conflict between the classes and if people are unemployed and really hurting, hell, there could be even riots.

In other words, Brzezinski is afraid that if some filthy lucre is not dispensed among the unwashed, they will rise up and burn down the banks, sack the corporations, and destroy the globalist edifice so painfully erected over the last fifty or so years — and maybe even go so far as to string up Brzezinski and his fellow globalists from trees and overpasses, the sort of dirty and regrettable business that invariably occurs in the process of violent revolutions in response to decades of provocation.

It’s not the pain suffered by the unemployed and homeless that concerns Brzezinski and the one-world patricians. It is the prospect of class warfare. It is the horrific prospect of losing it all.

Brzezinski realizes the engineered financial crisis will have dire consequences and he wants to set aside a few crumbs to mollify the growing numbers of impoverished before they take to the streets. It is odd, however, that he mentioned fellow Trilateralist Robert Rubin as one of the people who should be donating to this proposed National Solidarity Fund. No doubt the former Goldman Sachs and Citigroup stooge Rubin had a good laugh over Brzezinski’s preposterous proposal.

If realized, it will be a National Solidarity Fund to save the bankers, not the people. Brzezinski and the global elite understand the last time they pulled this swindle — causing the so-called Great Depression — mass unemployment and bread lines transformed into widespread and popular political activism that seriously threatened the establishment. In response, the “New Deal” was cooked up to dissipate growing rebellion. It took a major world war and subsequently the creation of the military-industrial complex, the national security state, and highly orchestrated cold war to inflate a newly contrived “boom” bubble to get out of the banker engineered Great Depression.

Brzezinski’s National Solidarity Fund is another bankster scam devised to sideline the possibility of rebellion before it gets going. Needless to say, this shabby hustle is wholly insufficient and it will take more than a few billion dollars worth of crumbs from the likes of Hank Paulson and Robert Rubin to prevent the rebellion, class warfare, and violence of the coming storm.

EUROPEAN CRISIS

Europe sank even deeper into recession than the United States in the closing months of last year, according to figures published Friday, as finance ministers of leading industrialized nations gathered in one of the worst-affected countries, Italy, for discussions on the crisis.

In the fourth quarter, the economy of the countries sharing the euro declined by 1.5 percent, according to the European Union's statistics office. That is even worse than the 1 percent decline in the U.S. economy during that period, compared with the previous quarter.

"Today's data wipes out any illusion that the euro zone is getting off lightly in this global downturn," said Jörg Radeke, an economist at the Center for Economics and Business Research in London.

Until recently, some economists had thought that Europe might suffer less from the recession, which started in the United States before spreading to most of the rest of the world. While some European economies, including Britain, Ireland and Spain, have seen U.S.-style plunges in home prices, housing markets have held up better elsewhere in Europe. Consumers have also cut back less on their spending in Europe than in the United States.

But instead, European industry has been walloped as businesses around the world, and particularly in the United States, cut back on new orders to bring down their inventories. That has hit euro-zone countries hard, particularly Germany, which relies on exports to fuel economic growth.

In an effort to arrest the plunge, the lower house of the German Parliament, the Bundestag, on Friday approved a €50 billion stimulus plan that includes new spending measures and tax cuts.

Germany was not the only European economy to do worse than analysts had expected in the period. In France, output declined by 1.2 percent, while Italy contracted by 1.8 percent.

The data "confirm that the recession in the region is deepening at an alarming rate," said Jennifer McKeown, an economist at Capital Economics in London.

For the euro-zone economy, it was by far the worst quarter since the euro was introduced in 1999, and economists said they would have to go significantly further back in time to find a comparable period.

"For Europe, as for the rest of the industrialized world, this is surely the worst downturn since the Second World War," Radeke said.

Drawing precise historical comparisons for the entire euro zone is challenging because of currency fluctuations before the single currency was introduced and because of incomplete or incompatible data from euro-zone members like Slovenia, which was not an independent country until 1991.

But McKeown said she had run the numbers for the major euro-zone economies back to 1970 and found only one other quarter that was even close to as bad as the latest one: the fourth quarter of 1974, when the economy was reeling from the oil shock and a plunge in stock prices. In that quarter, the main euro-zone economies fell by a combined 1.2 percent.

The 1.5 percent decline in the euro-zone economy matches the rate of contraction during the period in Britain, which has been additionally battered by the crisis in the financial sector, on which much of its economy depends.

The report from Germany on Friday showed a sharp rise in inventories - indicating more bad news for the first quarter, economists said.

That will give finance ministers of the Group of 7, including the U.S. Treasury secretary, Timothy Geithner, plenty to discuss this weekend during meetings in Rome. Among other things, the officials were expected to look at proposals for new financial market regulations and concerns about rising protectionist sentiment in some countries.

As the G-7 representatives arrived on Friday, tens of thousands of workers marched through the streets of the Italian capital, snarling traffic and demanding action to ameliorate the crisis. With three straight quarters of declining output, Italy has been in a slump longer than some of its neighbors, like France, where the economy actually eked out a small gain in the third quarter.

"Compared to other countries, not enough has been done," Mauro Bianchi, a representative of the CGIL union, told The Associated Press. "They are trying to cure a serious illness with aspirin."

While Italy is in particularly bad shape, the severity of the downturn across the euro zone was driven home by the report Friday. On an annualized basis, economists said, the 1.5 percent decline in output would amount to a roughly 6 percent drop - a significantly bigger fall than the 3.8 percent annual rate of contraction in the United States during the fourth quarter.

On a year-over-year basis, Europe also performed more poorly than the United States in the fourth quarter, with gross domestic product falling by 1.2 percent from the fourth quarter of 2007, compared with a comparable decline of 0.2 percent in the United States.

Europe typically lags behind the United States in recovering from recessions, McKeown said, so any return to growth in the euro zone is probably at least a year away.

"We had hoped that the euro zone might not do as badly as the U.S.," she said. "As it turned out, the slump in the industrial sector has completely turned things around."

ÜBERVEILLANCE

Michael G Michael from the University of Wollongong's School of Information Systems and Technology, has coined the term "uberveillance" to describe the emerging trend of all-encompassing surveillance.

"Uberveillance is not on the outside looking down, but on the inside looking out through a microchip that is embedded in our bodies," Dr Michael told ninemsn.

Microchips are commonly implanted into animals to reveal identification details when scanned and similar devices have been used with Alzheimers patients.

US company VeriChip is already using implantable microchips, which store a 16-digit unique identification number, on humans for medical purposes.

"Our focus is on high-risk patients, and our product's ability to identify them and their medical records in an emergency," spokesperson Allison Tomek said.

"We do not know when or if someone will develop an implantable microchip with GPS technology, but it is not an application we are pursuing."

Another form of uberveillance is the use of bracelets worn by dangerous prisoners which use global positioning systems to pinpoint their movements.

But Dr Michael said the technology behind uberveillance would eventually lead to a black box small enough to fit on a tiny microchip and implanted in our bodies.

This could also allow someone to be located in an emergency or for the identification of corpses after a large scale disaster or terrorist attack.

"This black box will then be a witness to our actual movements, words — perhaps even our thoughts —-and play a similar role to the black box placed in an aircraft," he said.

He also predicted that microchip implants and their infrastructure could eliminate the need for e-passports, e-tags, and secure ID cards.

"Microchipping I think will eventually become compulsory in the context of identification within the frame of national security," he said.

Although uberveillance was only in its early phases, Dr Michael's wife, Katina Michael — a senior lecturer from UOW's School of Information Systems and Technology — said the ability to track and identify any individual was already possible.

"Anyone with a mobile phone can be tracked to 15m now," she said, pointing out that most mobile phone handsets now contained GPS receivers and radio frequency identification (RFID) readers.

"The worst scenario is the absolute loss of human rights," she said.

Wisconsin, North Dakota and four other states in the US have already outlawed the use of enforced microchipping.

"Australia hasn't got specific regulations addressing these applications," she said.

"We need to address the potential for misuse by amending privacy laws to ensure personal data protection."

ON THE BUSH PATH...OBAMA AND HUMAN RIGHTS

Two days after taking the helm of a country ready for change after eight years of George W. Bush, President Obama has allowed one controversial "War on Terror" tactic to remain in place: rendition.

Despite frequent condemnation of the practice around the world, rendition — the secret capture, transportation and detention of suspected terrorists to foreign prisons in countries that cooperate with the U.S. — remains in the CIA’s playbook, thanks to a Jan. 22 executive order issued by President Obama.

Other executive orders shuttered the CIA’s secret prisons and banned the harsh interrogation techniques that have been termed torture. And in his most widely noticed break with his predecessor, Obama signed an order to close Guantanamo Bay’s prison within one year.

But rendition will remain. Obama and his administration appear to believe that the rendition program was one piece of the Bush administration’s war on terrorism that it could not afford to discard, the Los Angeles Times reported.

An administration official told the newspaper anonymously: "Obviously you need to preserve some tools — you still have to go after the bad guys. The legal advisors working on this looked at rendition. It is controversial in some circles and kicked up a big storm in Europe. But if done within certain parameters, it is an acceptable practice."

The momentous decision by Obama and his young administration appeared in a small provision of one executive order, which states that instructions to close the CIA’s secret prison sites "do not refer to facilities used only to hold people on a short-term, transitory basis."

Under that language, the Soviet-era black site used by the CIA between 2002 and 2004 and revealed by Raw Story in 2007 would remain open. Intelligence officials signaled the facility would no longer be used after it received broad public attention in the Polish press.

In late 2007, the U.S. House voted to effectively end CIA renditions. But that prohibition, part of a $50 billion Iraq funding bill, was never passed in the Senate. Also in 2007, Congress apologized for the wrongful detainment of Canadian citizen Maher Arar, who was "rendered" to Syria, where he was tortured into making a false confession.

Obama’s decision to continue rendition on an apparently limited basis revives questions about the tactic’s effectiveness — not to mention legality.

"The reason we did interrogations [ourselves] is because renditions for the most part weren’t very productive," a former senior CIA official told the Los Angeles Times anonymously.

But surprisingly, Human Rights Watch — the worldwide watchdog group that vehemently opposed Bush-era secret detentions facilities and torture tactics — supports Obama’s decision to continue the practice of rendition.

"Under limited circumstances, there is a legitimate place" for renditions, Tom Malinowski, the Washington advocacy director for Human Rights Watch, told the Los Angeles Times. "What I heard loud and clear from the president’s order was that they want to design a system that doesn’t result in people being sent to foreign dungeons to be tortured…"

But the former CIA official wasn’t quite so optimistic.

"In some ways, [rendition] is the worst option," the former official said. "If [the prisoners] are in U.S. hands, you have a lot of checks and balances, medics and lawyers. Once you turn them over to another service, you lose control."

THE LONG WALK TOWARDS NEW WORLD ORDER

Once the Illuminati have control of the world’s most prolific and profitable oil supply, they can use it to force other nations, as well as their own people, to accept one-world government by turning off the taps.

Both the US and Israel have created the best enemies that money can buy, because the objective is to cause as much bloodshed and destruction as possible, for as long as possible, in order to provide fun and profits for the benefit of their respective military-industrial complexes. After all, you need a scapegoat on which to blame the destruction and loss of life that is necessary to rake in trillions of dollars in war profits, to implement genocides and population control agendas, to exert your political will, to rob other nations of their resources and to satisfy the limitless bloodlust of the satanic, megalomaniacal, trillionaire sociopaths who run the shadow governments in both the US and Israel.

The Illuminati, however, have conspired to achieve their objectives while simultaneously preventing the US and Israel from becoming too powerful, prosperous and independent to want to surrender their sovereignty in favor of world government. After all, why would the people of any free and prosperous nation with superior military and economic prowess on a global basis ever succumb to a one-world, Marxist-fascistic, Orwellian police state of feudality? That is why our respective militaries have been forced to suffer nothing but losses, stalemates and incomplete victories since the end of WWII. This process of implementing wars for profit without achieving too much military power and economic independence has been achieved by hamstringing US and Israeli military operations with incomplete or scaled-back objectives, moronic rules of engagement, insufficient manpower and equipment and implementation of defective military strategies which ensure that operations will devolve into a complete cluster-f–k, thus always snatching defeat from the jaws of victory.

Why did Roosevelt provoke the Japanese, and allow them to destroy our battleships in Pearl Harbor, while the carriers were conveniently on maneuvers off shore? Was is because he was worried the Japanese might find out we had broken their code, or was it to hamstring our navy to make sure the war would drag on in the Pacific for years to ensure that the Illuminist military-industrial complex made mega-profits and took us out of the Depression which the Illuminists themselves had caused? Couldn’t we have prevented the attack, saved several thousand lives and used the old ships until the new ones were built, and still have beaten the snots out of the Japanese? Did Admiral Kimmel have to be disgraced? Why did we ship defective weapons to nationalist forces in China, thus allowing the communist forces to take over after WWII? Why was General Patton assassinated by our own military when he sought to push the soviets back to their own borders, and why did we then set communist Russia up with a new kingdom in the Yalta sellout of Eastern Europe? Why did we abandon the Hungarian freedom fighters at the last second in 1956 and allow the communists in Soviet Russia to slaughter them? Why did we not bomb the Chinese troops in North Korea for a sure victory as desired by General MacArthur, who was later disgraced by the evil Illuminist puppet, Harry Truman, instead settling for a division of Korea into North and South sectors by a demilitarized zone which we still occupy to this day? Why did we cut short the TET Offensive in Vietnam, which would have brought us to a complete victory according to the leading North Vietnamese General who admitted he and his troops would have been done for, thus settling for a later loss instead after a long, bloody and expensive war? Why did we stop short of taking Baghdad in the First Gulf War? Was it because we were winning too speedily with too few casualties for the Illuminists to make their usual gargantuan war profits? Was there not enough bloodshed to quench their thirst the Illuminati’s thirst for blood? Why did we use depleted uranium in both Gulf Wars so as to sicken and kill our own troops? Was it to make the medical and pharmaceutical industries flush with cash and to cut pensions short, thus saving hundreds of billions of dollars? Was it to reduce the number of patriotic veterans who might violently object to the implementation of world government? Why did it take more time to beat a bunch of rag-head terrorists in Iraq and Afghanistan numbering in the mere tens of thousands than it took to win WWII? Why did we use a small fraction of the number of troops recommended by our senior military commanders for the so-called War on Terror? Why were our troops continually ill-equipped and running excessively long tours of duty? Was it because we wanted to extend the war and wear out our military in order to reduce the number of US troops, and the potential for objection to world government by our patriotic veterans, by replacing them with mercenary killers who could care less? Why did we cause a civil war on top of the war to remove Saddam, due to the supposed errors in judgment that were made in our strategies for conquest? Was it to extend the war while channeling hundreds of billions to Illuminist contractors and mercenaries via no-bid contracts? Why did Clinton give our nuclear secrets to the Chinese? Are you beginning to get the picture?

In 1947 to 1948, Israel was sold out by Britain as it gave up possession of Palestine, which left them with indefensible borders and a country less than ten miles wide in some sections, thereby ensuring continual conflict with the Arabs. This vicious redrawing of borders to foment conflict is something the British Black Nobility are experts at after centuries of practice. They thought that the Arabs would destroy Israel which was becoming a thorn in their side because they wanted a piece of the Middle East oil action, and Israel was putting a crimp in their plans. But then Israel won miraculously in the face of an overwhelming attack by several Arab nations simultaneously, and Truman saw his chance to use Israel to gain a foothold in the Middle East, a base of operations for Illuminists of the US faction. Incidentally, Britain lost virtually its entire empire after screwing Israel, a nice bit of poetic justice and divine retribution for their treachery. But Israel did not press its advantage, winning by simply surviving, in its first war with the surrounding Arab states. Many of the Palestinians left the Palestinian territories bordering on Israel during this conflict, thinking that Israel would be easily defeated and that they would get to take over all the Israeli lands, as well as get their own back. Their desire to get this abandoned land back is the basis for the so-called "right of return." Frankly, in attacking Israel, the Arabs forfeited their rights to their own lands by failing to respect Israel’s borders, as did the Palestinians by cooperating in the war to destroy Israel. The surrounding Arab states could and should have taken all the displaced Palestinians in, but instead left a good portion of them along Israel’s new occupied lands as a hemorrhoid for Israel to deal with, allowing their Arab brethren to live in poverty and squalor rather than take them in after telling them to leave and then losing the war. They use the Palestinian territories as a base from which they can terrorize Israel and eventually destroy them. They have no intention of giving Israel peace, but instead want to take them apart piece by piece via the corrupt Oslo process and the so-called Roadmap to Peace, which should be termed the Roadmap to Israel’s Destruction.

In its 1967 Six Day War, which was a preemptive strike by Israel in an act of self-preservation against Arab states massing troops along its miniscule borders, Israel could have been more aggressive, but they pulled back and started negotiating with the Arabs after less than a week of fighting, when they could have extended their borders and made them more defensible. Why? Was it because the US insisted to protect its US oil interests with the Arabs? Was it because, in any case, the US Illuminists did not want Israel to become too powerful and extend their borders too far, because they wanted to destroy Israel when they had finished using it as a base of operations for Middle East conquest? Why did the US withhold aid from Israel in the 1973 Yom Kippur War until it was almost too late, thereby almost destroying Israel in the process? Was it because Kissinger, Nixon’s Secretary of State, wanted to bloody Israel’s nose to show them who was boss, and that they had better do as they were told, or else? Why, after Israel blew through Lebanon in the First Lebanon War and surrounded Arafat and his PLO, did they allow him to escape to Libya? Why did they tolerate the PLO for so many years when they could have easily eliminated them? Why did they allow Hamas to be eligible for elective office when they are sworn to the destruction of Israel? In the second Lebanon War, why did they use a tiny fraction of the forces used in the First Lebanon War against an enemy that was far more entrenched and dug in than in the first war? Was it because they were not supposed to win at the insistence of the US? Were they told to keep Hezbollah in place to keep fomenting terror and trouble, thus generating profits for the US and Israeli military-industrial complexes? Why does the US fund Saudi Arabia which then funds Hamas’ operations? Is it not convenient for oil companies to have an excuse to gouge consumers every time the Middle East ignites in conflict? Is not the whole peace process just a way to dismantle Israel after US and Israeli Illuminists are finished with it? You better believe it!!! Are you starting to get the picture again?

The fact that the US is the top-ranked military power in the world, and that the Israeli military is the top-ranked military in the Middle East, is no coincidence. Israel, of course, derives much of its strength from money and aid provided by the US, and it is, in essence, a satellite base for the Illuminist operation to create a region of oil hegemony in the Middle East where oil is the cheapest, and therefore the most profitable, to extract. Additionally, the control of this crucial resource provides great political clout and the opportunity for economic extortion in the great play for power. Russia is currently doing something similar with natural gas. Once the Illuminati have control of the world’s most prolific and profitable oil supply, they can use it to force other nations, as well as their own people, to accept one-world government by turning off the taps, by driving the price up to extortionate levels or by driving the price down to levels that are economically unsustainable for competing nations who would prefer to pass on a one-world system.

In addition to the manufactured wars for profit and the attempt to put a stranglehold on critical commodities and other resources, is the Illuminist economic destruction agenda which is being played out right before your eyes in the US and around the world. This destruction was brought about by the intentional creation of a conspiratorial daisy chain of fraud throughout the mortgage and consumer loan industries via derivatives traded in the unregulated OTC derivatives market, accompanied by intentional regulatory failures by the Fed and the elitist bootlickers in our government along with legislative machinations that opened the Pandora’s Box previously closed and locked by Glass-Steagall, AND NOT BY UNINTENTIONAL MISCALCULATIONS OR ERRORS IN JUDGMENT — THEY KNEW EXACTLY WHAT THEY WERE DOING!!!

The products spawned by that daisy chain of fraud were spread throughout the world like a deadly poison, only to be cut off unexpectedly and serendipitously by Meredith Whitney of Oppenheimer when she exposed Citigroup’s subprime derivatives as being toxic waste weapons of mass financial destruction. In addition, here in the US, the Illuminati have used free trade, globalization, off-shoring and outsourcing, along with both legal and illegal immigration, to bust our unions, and to destroy our domestic manufacturing sector by shipping it overseas, along with the productive, good-paying jobs produced by that sector. In place of those jobs in the manufacturing sector, we now peddle toxic waste derivatives, flip hamburgers and greet people entering department stores. These are the new "wonderful" jobs driving our new economy. The idea here was to knock the snots out of everyone around the globe, and especially in the US, so they will beg for a one-world solution, which will of course be offered in true Hegelian Dialectic fashion.

* FRANCE

-- Hundreds of thousands of strikers marched in French cities on Thursday to demand pay rises and job protection. Some protesters clashed with police, but no major violence was reported.

-- The one-day strike failed to paralyse the country and support from private sector workers appeared limited. Labour leaders hailed the action, which marked the first time France's eight union federations had joined forces against the government since President Nicolas Sarkozy took office in 2007.

* RUSSIA

-- Thousands of opposition supporters rallied in Moscow and the far east port of Vladivostok on Saturday in a national day of protests over hardships caused by the financial crisis. On Sunday hundreds of demonstrators in Moscow called for Russia's leaders to resign.

-- Street rallies were held in almost every major city over the weekend. The pro-Kremlin United Russia party also drew thousands to rallies in support of government anti-crisis measures.

-- About 100 protesters were arrested in Vladivostok last month during protests against hikes in second hand car import duties aimed at protecting jobs in the domestic car industry.

* GERMANY

-- Thousands of German public sector workers went on strike on Tuesday to press for more pay during the worse economic downturn in decades, in action that affected transport and schools across the country.

Public transport ground to a halt in 10 cities across Bavaria, while schools, hospitals suffered walk-outs in northern Germany, service sector union Verdi said. Local authorities and schools were also affected in the east of the country, it added.

* MADAGASCAR

-- More than 100 people were killed in civil unrest in Madagascar last week, according to the U.S. ambassador. Police previously confirmed 44 deaths, with most of those in a store burned during looting when an anti-government protest degenerated into violence.

-- The mayor of Antananarivo, Andry Rajoelina, galvanised popular frustrations to spearhead demonstrations and strikes against President Marc Ravalomanana's government. The violence came amid an oil and minerals exploration boom in Madagascar.

* ICELAND

-- Parties forming a new coalition for the crisis-hit island decided on Sunday its new prime minister will be former Social Affairs Minister Johanna Sigurdardottir.

-- Prime Minister Geir Haarde resigned last week after a series of protests, some of which had turned violent. He was the first leader to fall as a direct result of the credit crunch.

-- The collapse of the country's fast-expanding banks under a weight of debt forced the country to take a $10 billion IMF-led rescue package and sparked widespread anger.

* DAVOS

-- Hundreds of people rallied in Geneva and Davos on Saturday to protest against the World Economic Forum, saying the elite gathered for its annual meeting are not qualified to fix the world's problems.

-- A decision by France's Total to bring Italian and Portuguese workers to build a unit at the Lindsey oil refinery has triggered a week of protests by thousands of energy workers.

* GREECE

-- Greek farmers put up roadblocks across the country, protesting against low prices. Most were taken down last week after the government pledged 500 million euros in aid. Blockades continued on and off at the border with Bulgaria, and on Tuesday riot police clashed for a second day with farmers from Crete.

-- High youth unemployment was a main driver for rioting in Greece in December, initially sparked by the police shooting of a youth in an Athens neighbourhood. The protests forced a government reshuffle.

* GUADELOUPE

-- France sent a minister to the Caribbean island on Sunday for talks aimed at ending a 13-day general strike over pay and prices that has paralysed the French territory.

-- An alliance of 47 unions and local bodies launched their protest on Jan. 20 over the cost of living. They have drawn up a list of 146 demands including a 200 euro ($257) increase in the minimum salary, a freeze on rents and a cut in taxes and food prices. Island authorities have rejected the demands.

* BULGARIA

-- Hundreds of Bulgarians demanded economic and social reforms in the face of a global slowdown in anti-government rallies last month, calling on the Socialist-led government to act or step down.

-- Earlier in January, hundreds of protesters clashed with police, smashed windows and damaged cars in Sofia when a rally against corruption and slow reforms in the face of the economic crisis turned into a riot.

* LATVIA

-- A 10,000-strong protest in Latvia on Jan. 16 descended into a riot, with protesters trying to storm parliament before going on the rampage. Government steps to cut wages, as part of an austerity plan to win international aid, have angered people.

* LITHUANIA

-- Also on Jan. 16, police fired teargas to disperse demonstrators who pelted parliament with stones in protest at government cuts in social spending to offset an economic slowdown. Police said 80 people were detained and 20 injured.

-- Prime Minister Andrius Kubilius said the violence would not stop an austerity plan launched after a slide in output and revenues.

On Wednesday night, when former NSA analyst Russell Tice told MSNBC’s Keith Olbermann that the Bush administration’s National Security Agency spied on everyone in the United States, specifically targeting journalists, the Countdown host was so flabbergasted that Tice was invited back for a second interview.

On Thursday, he returned to the airwaves with expanded allegations against the NSA, claiming the agency collected Americans’ credit card records, and adding that he believes the massive, warrantless data vacuum to be the remnants of the Total Information Awareness program, shut down by Congress in 2003.

Asked for comment by Olbermann’s staff, the agency responded, "NSA considers the constitutional rights of US citizens to be sacrosanct. The intelligence community faces immense challenges in protecting our nation. No matter the challenges, NSA remains dedicated to performing its mission under the rule of law."

Olbermann ran the quote under a banner which read, "Non-denial denial."

"As far as the wiretap information that made it though NSA, there was also data-mining that was involved," Tice told Olbermann during the pair’s second interview. "At some point, information from credit card records and financial transactions was married in with that information."

At this point on the audio track, Olbermann can be heard taking a deep breath.

"So, lucky American citizens, tens of thousands of whom are now on digital databases at NSA, who have no idea of this, also have that information included in those digital files that have been warehoused," said Tice.

"… Do you have any idea what all this stuff was used for?" asked the stunned host.

"The obvious explanation would be, if you did have a potential terrorist, you’d want to know where they’re spending money, whether they purchased an airline ticket, that sort of thing," said Tice. "But, once again, we’re talking about tens of thousands of innocent US citizens that have been caught up into this trap. They have no clue.

"This thing could sit there for 10 years, then all the sudden it marries up with something else and 10 years from now and they get put on a no-fly list and they of course won’t have a clue why."

Tice added that "in most cases," spied-upon Americans didn’t have to do anything suspicious in order to trigger the surveillance.

"This is garnered from algorithms that have been put together to try to just dream up scenarios that might be information that is associated with how a terrorist could operate," he said.

Ultimately, the technical explanation boils down to this: "If someone just talked about the daily news and mentioned something about the Middle East, they could easily be brought to the forefront of having that little flag put by their name that says potential terrorist," said Tice.

"Do you know, or do you have an educated guess, as to who authorized this? Who developed this?" asked Olbermann.

"I have a guess, where it was developed," he replied. "I think it was probably developed out of the Department of Defense, and this is probably the remnants of Total Information Awareness, that came out of DARPA. That’s my guess, I don’t know that for sure."

Olbermann then asked if Tice knows who had access to the data.

"I started looking into this, and that’s when ultimately they came after me to fire me," said Tice. "They must have realized that I’d stumbled onto something, and after that point I of course had no ability to find anything else out."

Tice concluded that he does not know if the program, as he understands it, continues to this day, and he refused to specifically state which media organizations the Bush administration’s NSA had targeted for surveillance.

HOLOCAUST DENIED

"When the truth is replaced by silence," the Soviet dissident Yevgeny Yevtushenko said, "the silence is a lie." It may appear the silence is broken on Gaza. The cocoons of murdered children, wrapped in green, together with boxes containing their dismembered parents and the cries of grief and rage of everyone in that death camp by the sea, can be viewed on al-Jazeera and YouTube, even glimpsed on the BBC. But Russia’s incorrigible poet was not referring to the ephemeral we call news; he was asking why those who knew the why never spoke it and so denied it. Among the Anglo-American intelligentsia, this is especially striking. It is they who hold the keys to the great storehouses of knowledge: the historiographies and archives that lead us to the why.

In Gaza, the enforced starvation and denial of humanitarian aid, the piracy of life-giving resources such as fuel and water, the denial of medicines and treatment, the systematic destruction of infrastructure and the killing and maiming of the civilian population, 50 per cent of whom are children, meet the international standard of the Genocide Convention.

They know that the horror now raining on Gaza has little to do with Hamas or, absurdly, "Israel’s right to exist." They know the opposite to be true: that Palestine’s right to exist was canceled 61 years ago and the expulsion and, if necessary, extinction of the indigenous people was planned and executed by the founders of Israel. They know, for example, that the infamous "Plan D" resulted in the murderous depopulation of 369 Palestinian towns and villages by the Haganah (Jewish army) and that massacre upon massacre of Palestinian civilians in such places as Deir Yassin, al-Dawayima, Eilaboun, Jish, Ramle and Lydda are referred to in official records as "ethnic cleansing." Arriving at a scene of this carnage, David Ben-Gurion, Israel’s first prime minister, was asked by a general, Yigal Allon, "What shall we do with the Arabs?" Ben-Gurion, reported the Israeli historian Benny Morris, "made a dismissive, energetic gesture with his hand and said, ‘Expel them’. The order to expel an entire population "without attention to age" was signed by Yitzhak Rabin, a future prime minister promoted by the world’s most efficient propaganda as a peacemaker. The terrible irony of this was addressed only in passing, such as when the Mapan Party co-leader Meir Ya’ari noted "how easily" Israel’s leaders spoke of how it was "possible and permissible to take women, children and old men and to fill the roads with them because such is the imperative of strategy … who remembers who used this means against our people during the [Second World] war … we are appalled."

Every subsequent "war" Israel has waged has had the same objective: the expulsion of the native people and the theft of more and more land. The lie of David and Goliath, of perennial victim, reached its apogee in 1967 when the propaganda became a righteous fury that claimed the Arab states had struck first. Since then, mostly Jewish truth-tellers such as Avi Schlaim, Noam Chomsky, the late Tanya Reinhart, Neve Gordon, Tom Segev, Yuri Avnery, Ilan Pappe and Norman Finklestein have dispatched this and other myths and revealed a state shorn of the humane traditions of Judaism, whose unrelenting militarism is the sum of an expansionist, lawless and racist ideology called zionism. "It seems," wrote the Israeli historian Ilan Pappe on 2 January, "that even the most horrendous crimes, such as the genocide in Gaza, are treated as desperate events, unconnected to anything that happened in the past and not associated with any ideology or system … Very much as the apartheid ideology explained the oppressive policies of the South African government, this ideology – in its most consensual and simplistic variety – has allowed all the Israeli governments in the past and the present to dehumanize the Palestinians wherever they are and strive to destroy them. The means altered from period to period, from location to location, as did the narrative covering up these atrocities. But there is a clear pattern [of genocide]."

"Is it an irresponsible overstatement," asked Richard Falk, the United Nations Special Rapporteur for Human Rights in the Occupied Palestinian Territory and international law authority at Princeton University, "to associate the treatment of Palestinians with this criminalized Nazi record of collective atrocity? I think not."

In describing a "holocaust-in-the making," Falk was alluding to the Nazis’ establishment of Jewish ghettos in Poland. For one month in 1943, the captive Polish Jews led by Mordechaj Anielewiz fought off the German army and the SS, but their resistance was finally crushed and the Nazis exacted their final revenge. Falk is also a Jew. Today’s holocaust-in-the-making, which began with Ben-Gurion’s Plan D, is in its final stages. The difference today is that it is a joint US-Israeli project. The F-16 jet fighters, the 250-pound "smart" GBU-39 bombs supplied on the eve of the attack on Gaza, having been approved by a Congress dominated by the Democratic Party, plus the annual $2.4 billion in war-making "aid," give Washington de facto control. It beggars belief that President-elect Obama was not informed. Outspoken on Russia’s war in Georgia and the terrorism in Mumbai, Obama’s silence on Palestine marks his approval, which is to be expected, given his obsequiousness to the Tel Aviv regime and its lobbyists during the presidential campaign and his appointment of Zionists as his secretary of state, chief of staff and principal Middle East advisers. When Aretha Franklin sings "Think," her wonderful 1960s anthem to freedom, at Obama’s inauguration on 21 January, I trust someone with the brave heart of Muntadar al-Zaidi, the shoe-thrower, will shout: "Gaza!"

The asymmetry of conquest and terror is clear. Plan D is now "Operation Cast Lead," which is the unfinished "Operation Justified Vengeance." The latter was launched by Prime Minister Ariel Sharon in 2001 when, with Bush’s approval, he used F-16s against Palestinian towns and villages for the first time. In the same year, the authoritative Jane’s Foreign Report disclosed that the Blair government had given Israel the "green light" to attack the West Bank after it was shown Israel’s secret designs for a bloodbath. It was typical of New Labor Party’s enduring, cringing complicity in Palestine’s agony. However, the 2001 Israeli plan, reported Jane’s, needed the "trigger" of a suicide bombing which would cause "numerous deaths and injuries [because] the ‘revenge’ factor is crucial." This would "motivate Israeli soldiers to demolish the Palestinians." What alarmed Sharon and the author of the plan, General Shaul Mofaz, the Israeli Chief of Staff, was a secret agreement between Yasser Arafat and Hamas to ban suicide attacks. On 23 November, 2001, Israeli agents assassinated the Hamas leader, Mahmud Abu Hunud, and got their "trigger"; the suicide attacks resumed in response to his killing.

Something uncannily similar happened on 5 November last, when Israeli special forces attacked Gaza, killing six people. Once again, they got their propaganda "trigger." A ceasefire initiated and sustained by the Hamas government – which had imprisoned its violators – was shattered by the Israeli attack and homemade rockets were fired into what used to be Palestine before its Arab occupants were "cleansed." The On 23 December, Hamas offered to renew the ceasefire, but Israel’s charade was such that its all-out assault on Gaza had been planned six months earlier, according to the Israeli daily Ha’aretz.

Behind this sordid game is the "Dagan Plan," named after General Meir Dagan, who served with Sharon in his bloody invasion of Lebanon in 1982. Now head of Mossad, the Israeli intelligence organization, Dagan is the author of a "solution" that has seen the imprisonment of Palestinians behind a ghetto wall snaking across the West Bank and in Gaza, effectively a concentration camp. The establishment of a quisling government in Ramallah under Mohammed Abbas is Dagan’s achievement, together with a hasbara (propaganda) campaign relayed through a mostly supine, if intimidated western media, notably in America, that says Hamas is a terrorist organization devoted to Israel’s destruction and to "blame" for the massacres and siege of its own people over two generations, long before its creation. "We have never had it so good," said the Israeli Foreign Ministry spokesman Gideon Meir in 2006. "The hasbara effort is a well-oiled machine." In fact, Hamas’s real threat is its example as the Arab world’s only democratically elected government, drawing its popularity from its resistance to the Palestinians’ oppressor and tormentor. This was demonstrated when Hamas foiled a CIA coup in 2007, an event ordained in the western media as "Hamas’s seizure of power." Likewise, Hamas is never described as a government, let alone democratic. Neither is its proposal of a ten-year truce as a historic recognition of the "reality" of Israel and support for a two-state solution with just one condition: that the Israelis obey international law and end their illegal occupation beyond the 1967 borders. As every annual vote in the UN General Assembly demonstrates, 99 per cent of humanity concurs. On 4 January, the president of the General Assembly, Miguel d’Escoto, described the Israeli attack on Gaza as a "monstrosity."

When the monstrosity is done and the people of Gaza are even more stricken, the Dagan Plan foresees what Sharon called a "1948-style solution" – the destruction of all Palestinian leadership and authority followed by mass expulsions into smaller and smaller "cantonments" and perhaps finally into Jordan. This demolition of institutional and educational life in Gaza is designed to produce, wrote Karma Nabulsi, a Palestinian exile in Britain, "a Hobbesian vision of an anarchic society: truncated, violent, powerless, destroyed, cowed … Look to the Iraq of today: that is what [Sharon] had in store for us, and he has nearly achieved it."

Dr. Dahlia Wasfi is an American writer on Palestine. She has a Jewish mother and an Iraqi Muslim father. "Holocaust denial is anti-Semitic," she wrote on 31 December. "But I’m not talking about World War Two, Mahmoud Ahmedinijad (the president of Iran) or Ashkenazi Jews. What I’m referring to is the holocaust we are all witnessing and responsible for in Gaza today and in Palestine over the past 60 years … Since Arabs are Semites, US-Israeli policy doesn’t get more anti-Semitic than this." She quoted Rachel Corrie, the young American who went to Palestine to defend Palestinians and was crushed by an Israeli bulldozer. "I am in the midst of a genocide," wrote Corrie, "which I am also indirectly supporting and for which my government is largely responsible."

Reading the words of both, I am struck by the use of "responsibility." Breaking the lie of silence is not an esoteric abstraction but an urgent responsibility that falls to those with the privilege of a platform. With the BBC cowed, so too is much of journalism, merely allowing vigorous debate within unmovable invisible boundaries, ever fearful of the smear of anti-Semitism. The unreported news, meanwhile, is that the death toll in Gaza is the equivalent of 18,000 dead in Britain. Imagine, if you can.

Then there are the academics, the deans and teachers and researchers. Why are they silent as they watch a university bombed and hear the Association of University Teachers in Gaza plea for help? Are British universities now, as Terry Eagleton believes, no more than "intellectual Tescos, churning out a commodity known as graduates rather than greengroceries"?

Then there are the writers. In the dark year of 1939, the Third Writers’ Congress was held at Carnegie Hall in New York and the likes of Thomas Mann and Albert Einstein sent messages and spoke up to ensure the lie of silence was broken. By one account, 3,500 jammed the auditorium and a thousand were turned away. Today, this mighty voice of realism and morality is said to be obsolete; the literary review pages affect an ironic hauteur of irrelevance; false symbolism is all. As for the readers, their moral and political imagination is to be pacified, not primed. The anti-Muslim Martin Amis expressed this well in Visiting Mrs. Nabokov: "The dominance of the self is not a flaw, it is an evolutionary characteristic; it is just how things are."

If that is how things are, we are diminished as a civilized society. For what happens in Gaza is the defining moment of our time, which either grants the impunity of war criminals the immunity of our silence, while we contort our own intellect and morality, or gives us the power to speak out. For the moment I prefer my own memory of Gaza: of the people’s courage and resistance and their "luminous humanity," as Karma Nabulsi put it. On my last trip there, I was rewarded with a spectacle of Palestinian flags fluttering in unlikely places. It was dusk and children had done this. No one told them to do it. They made flagpoles out of sticks tied together, and a few of them climbed on to a wall and held the flag between them, some silently, others crying out. They do this every day when they know foreigners are leaving, believing the world will not forget them.

ARGUMENT FOR WAR?

Five years ago, the Bush administration lied about weapons of mass destruction to dupe us into supporting an illegal, immoral invasion of Iraq.

A few days ago, Israel trotted out only an infinitesimally more credible excuse — the Hamas rockets case — as justification for its own murderous shock and awe in Gaza, a long-planned campaign perniciously aimed at ousting a “regime” that came to power via popular, democratic vote.

Yes, such rockets exist, but they’re little more than slingshots against Israel’s incredible military might, and they’re used out of desperation by Palestinians who’ve never been accorded the democratic space within which to gain redress of their eminently just grievances.

Israeli apologists have presented absurd propaganda about those devices.

We’ve been asked, for instance, what would we do if rockets were being launched on our homes in New York or Texas, from Canada or Mexico?

The proper answer is that, if those two nations had been unlawfully occupied or embargoed by the United States for 60 years of relentless oppression and repression, and if all attempts at peaceful change had been forcefully prevented or scuttled by the U.S., then such attacks would be an understandable, indeed a justifiable attempt at gaining intolerably deferred liberty.

Our appropriate response wouldn’t be to bomb the hell out of the nearest Canadian or Mexican city, but to collectively look into mirrors and earnestly ask ourselves, “What have we done wrong to incur their wrath?”

And then act to correct the situation.

Conscientious Israelis acknowledge that the Hamas rockets rationale is fraudulent. For instance, Jerusalem Post writer Larry Derfner has noted, “We don’t want to see how people in Gaza are living, we block it out of our minds — which, I suppose, is natural for a society at war, but which also keeps that war going longer than it might if we would recognize that Gaza is getting so much the worst of it.

“The [Palestinian] Kassam [rockets] have terrorized the 25,000 people in Sderot and its environs, but have caused very, very few deaths or serious wounds. By contrast, Israel has terrorized 1.5 million Gazans, locked them inside their awfully narrow borders, throttled their economy, and killed and seriously wounded thousands of them . . .

“This is crazy. Israel is the superpower of the Middle East, but because we still think we’re the Jews of Europe in the 1930s, or the Israelites under Pharaoh, we spend a lot more time fighting our enemies than we might if we looked at the whole picture, not just our half of it . . .”

As Gazan hospitals and morgues fill beyond capacity because of an ongoing air assault that cruelly began at precisely the hour when countless children were heading home from school, we’re expected to believe that small craters mostly in empty Israeli fields constitute this terrible episode’s chief sin.

Bugs bothered by sporadically impacting, glorified fireworks cobbled together in backyard garages are ludicrously supposed to be the primary problem, not human limbs and lives shattered by the most destructive weapons that military science can produce!

At any point during the past six decades, Israel could have had peace, simply by assenting to the great moral imperative of our time, namely the Palestinians’ right to their own, unitary, sovereign homeland.

Something which Israel continues to resist tooth and nail.

Two years ago, in Southern Lebanon, Israel engaged in similar bombings in civilian areas. Then, too, it maintained that only “terrorist” targets were being hit. As impartial observers finally ascertained the truth, clear evidence of enormous civilian carnage surfaced.

The Israeli leadership lied then, and it’s lying now.

There’s a veritable holocaust occurring in densely packed Gaza. Think Guernica, or the Warsaw Ghetto, with all the searing irony that comparison involves.

Apart from being an ethical travesty offending all decent hearts, it’s an unpardonable outrage to especially Arab/Islamic peoples around the world.

Witness the angry demonstrations in cities across the planet.

It takes no extraordinary analytical prowess to appreciate that, when the White House ridiculously blames what’s currently happening on “thugs” in Gaza, and when moderate Arab states adopt an accommodationist position pleasing the U.S. and Israel, a profound Arab/Islamic radicalization billows and swells.

New Osama bin Ladens are being born as innocents in Gaza are getting ripped to death by American-made Hellfire missiles, dispatched toward fleshly targets by Israeli pilots.

In fact, the almost certain, counterproductive outcome of Israel’s action makes us necessarily suspect that secret motives mistakenly judged by Tel Aviv to be worth the risk are actually at play.

Three possibilities spring immediately to mind:

1) Obscenely using de facto genocide to give the present Israeli government a “tough” image before upcoming national elections.

2) Roping Barack Obama into a harder pro-Israeli stance than Tel Aviv fears he’d otherwise take.

3) Creating a manipulated, intensely propagandized situation that would enable a desired Israeli attack on Iran.

Whatever the most deeply hidden reality, Israel’s gargantuan crime must be universally condemned in the strongest possible terms . . . and halted at once!

Obviously, those who suffer most are the civilian population...

RISE OR DIE II

Pulsating punk rock was stoking up the black-clad army of students outside the University of Athens, as, yet again, they prepared to march on parliament.
The Stranglers were singing: "Whatever happened to all the heroes? All the Shakespearoes? They watched their Rome burn."
The setting was appropriate: the Propylea, as the university's main building is known, resembles a temple from Greece's own glorious classical era.
All along Panepistimiou, or University Boulevard, security men in upscale jewellers, boutiques and the Attica department store, hastily lowered the electronic shutters.
The guards at the Bank of Greece retreated behind supposedly impregnable bronze doors, and steeled themselves for yet another assault on the symbols of wealth, prosperity and unbridled capitalism.

Since a policeman shot dead 15-year-old Alexis Grigoropoulos on 6 December, daily riots are estimated to have cost the entrepreneurs in the capital more than $1bn.

Economic crisis

In among the hooded tops and Arab scarves was a man with owlish glasses and an immaculate mane of silvery, white hair.
The economic crisis is huge and Greece is showing, I think, the future for what will happen in other countries

Panos Garganas

Panos Garganas is a career protester who has taken part in every annual 17 November march on the US embassy.
That march commemorates the day in 1973 when tanks of the US-backed military dictatorship smashed through the gates of the Polytechnic university and crushed a student uprising.
Whether it is a demonstration to support asylum seekers or to complain about the intrusion of privacy threatened by CCTV before the 2004 Olympic Games, Mr Garganas will be there.
He is a member of the hard left Socialist Workers' Party and is the total antithesis of the stereotypical rabid Trotskyite: unfailingly polite, articulate, and persuasively reasonable in his arguments.
I asked him to apply some historical context to the most serious civil disturbances in Greece since the fall of the colonels' military dictatorship 34 years' ago.

"I think we should see today's developments in terms of 1989," he replied. "Back then, it was the Eastern bloc that collapsed under the pressure of economic crisis, and popular movements in the streets. Now we are seeing the same in the West."
The unrest is fuelled by anger at high unemployment and unpopular reforms

"The economic crisis is huge and Greece is showing, I think, the future for what will happen in other countries. We could say that 2009, 20 years on, will see the collapse of Western capitalism."

I asked him if he was not simply looking at the recent unrest through the rose-tinted glasses of an old left-wing romantic.

"Well, yes, of course. I am all of those things you just said," he replied. "But this democracy is failing people and the present revolt is much deeper, it will last much longer, it will affect society much more profoundly."

"It does mean misery... in terms of people losing their jobs, their homes and their pensions. There's going to be a lot of suffering. But at the same time people are reacting, not in a resigned way, but with anger and with action and that's always hopeful."

The unrest across Greece is no longer an outpouring of youthful anger over the "martyrdom" of a schoolboy in the Athens district of Exarchia.
As Mr Garganas explained, for many protesters it is now a vigorous attempt both to topple the conservative government of Prime Minister Costas Karamanlis, and to create waves across Europe.

European fears

Further confirmation came from the mouth of Petros Constantinou, a bearded firebrand wearing wire-rimmed spectacles that might have fitted Leon Trotsky.

So should Greece's European Union partners dismiss this talk of revolution as being little more than extremist rhetoric, or is there something more substantial to fear?
The riots have clearly unsettled France's President, Nicolas Sarkozy. He has postponed plans to reform the curriculum of secondary school pupils in case they ignite copycat protests.

"In the name of symbols, they can overthrow the country. They are regicidal," Mr Sarkozy told the French parliament. "Just look what's going on in Greece."

Dominique Strauss-Kahn, the head of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), is also deeply concerned and has advised governments to spend more money in an effort to ease the global economic crisis.
In a BBC interview, Mr Strauss-Kahn spoke of 2009 as "really being a bad year".

"I'm especially concerned by the fact that our forecast, already very dark... will be even darker if not enough fiscal stimulus is implemented," he said.

"The question of having social unrest has been highlighted by journalists and I can understand that, but its only part of the problem," he added. "The problem is that the whole society is going to suffer."

At present, the demonstrations across Greece are mainly attracting students, high-school pupils, veteran leftist campaigners and members of the so called 700-euro generation - disenchanted graduates who are unable to break through the ceiling of this nation's minimum wage.
The working and middle classes are staying away, perhaps because of the petrol bombs and tear gas.
There is neither a co-coordinated plan of action, nor a charismatic revolutionary leader.
But Greek trades unions and university students are now trying to mobilise sympathisers who are watching the troubles on television rather than participating.

Sleeping giant stirring

Pay attention to the old-fashioned, Marxist-Leninist Communist Party of Greece (KKE). Remember them? If you are coming to Athens in 2009, pack a gas mask with your bikini, just in case

Despite the collapse of the Berlin Wall and the Soviet bloc, the Greek hammer and sickle has never conceded the demise of its ideology and has maintained a consistent level of support across the country of about 6 or 7%.
Since 1989, the KKE has appeared something of an anachronism, but the sleeping giant is stirring.
The communists have been among the more responsible politicians over the past fortnight, condemning the violence and exerting tight discipline over their protest rallies.
Intelligently, they are doing their utmost not to alienate the masses, whereas Syriza, the coalition of the left, supported by younger voters in the last general election, has been accused of stoking the flames.

Foreign income

Pay attention also to Greece's key sources of foreign income next year. If they fail, then Mr Constantinou's revolution could attract more foot soldiers.
Tourism and shipping each contribute around 20% towards Greece's national earnings.

The crash earlier in 2008 of British travel firm XL has left scores of Greek hoteliers close to bankruptcy.
Some had been waiting a year for XL to pay their 2007 invoices. The demise of XL will mean that some island entrepreneurs will lose two years' income.

This is the location of one of what was arguably the most important sea battle of all time.
In 480 BC, the Athenian navy destroyed the armada of King Xerxes of Persia and thus ensured that Western civilisation evolved under Greek, rather than Asian, influence.
Today the straits are filling up with dozens of cargo vessels, rocking at anchor and going nowhere. Their owners can no longer afford to run them.
According to George Gratsos, president of the Hellenic Chamber of Shipping, in May of this year, when cargo rates were at their peak, you could get $235,000 a day for transporting iron ore.

"Now you can barely get $3,000," he told me.

That amounts to less than a vessel's daily running costs.
Greek ship owners, who are amongst this country's richest and most powerful people, can afford to sit on their enormous financial cushions and ride out the economic crisis.
But what about the 100,000 Greeks who depend on the shipping industry for their livelihoods?
Most middle class Greeks have been working 16-hour days to provide the bare necessities of life.
Businesses in Athens are braced for further riots and more damage
Many are now facing ruin through no fault of their own.
So how can Europeans stop Greece's social uprising escalating?
Well, for a start, they could help by taking a holiday in Greece.
Whatever the dire threats of the would-be revolutionaries, the riots are not going to reach the thousands of idyllic beaches and inspiring archaeological sites.

But if you are coming to Athens in 2009, pack a gas mask with your bikini, just in case.

As always, the ruling powers will not sway from doing all that can be done putting the protest in a bad daylight. Cops looting, breaking shop windows to hoepfully increase a negative attitude towards the protesters? Check for yourselves...

THE PURPOSE OF THE ECONOMIC CRISIS

We all know economic depression here, and some of us have an inkling about what is coming. The governments vacillate between spewing gloom and doom and ridiculous ‘happy fun clown time’ gibberish at the great unwashed masses depending upon whether they want fools to buy into the stock market at that particular time to make certain fat cats even richer, or they want those fools to sell and lose almost everything.

The housing bubble has been popped, the stock market is crashing and pensions are being siphoned off minute by minute. It’s clear that gold is being manipulated at the same time the dollar is going down. The contortionate “credit instruments” and exotic book-keeping (what an oxymoron that is) methods of investment houses, bankers and large businesses have all happened in a top-down way on purpose. The more they ripped off the little guy the bigger their commission and bonus; it is a system that thrives, indeed lives off of insatiable greed. And the monsters near the top aren’t sweating one bit. They know what is happening and they know what is coming next.

The fiat currency house of cards is tumbling down because the international bankers just exhaled a puff of the expensive smoke from their Cuban Cohiba Behike cigar and blew on it. In other words, it was planned. It is time now for the next phase of their plan.

It’s high time someone put it all together, without focusing on individual trees. There is a reason that the system was set up this way; there is a reason why home loans were offered to folks who couldn’t possibly pay them back and there is a reason why this all happening.

Put succinctly, this is all part of the Agenda 21 plan. Look closely at the map and notice just how much land area are “little or no human activity” zones. Notice how the small towns have disappeared and there are only major cities with specific travel corridors between them. That’s right, losing your job, your house, your land is part of their plan. NAFTA, CAFTA and GATT were part of this plan were enacted to get rid of the American manufacturing base and all the associated jobs. Without a home (or any viable housing options), a job and food, you have no other choice but to go where those necessities are located: the city.

The massive migration to the cities. The documents state in no uncertain terms that they “predict” (read: plan) class warfare (.pdf) as the middle class disappears and most will be reduced to abject poverty in said swelling cities. The documents and articles explain that the “bio-fuel” scam will wreak havoc with the world’s food supply, that GMO crops lead to less yield and that the uber rich are going to have to hide for a while to escape the hordes of angry, hungry and dirty people.

Realize that when one takes out a home loan, the bank actually owns the house until it’s completely paid off. If a mortgage isn’t paid, possession reverts to the banks. Only the wealthy are able to buy property at this time, and they certainly don’t want your three bedroom 2.5 bath brick rambler. This begs the question - what will be done with all these vacant houses?

Logic dictates that they must be rendered unusable. Most likely they will be stripped of copper and condemned and later bulldozed. They can’t have any “non-cooperative human subjects” fleeing the stinking cesspit cities for the fresh air of the country, now can they? They will have to render all repossessed houses unlivable in the “little or no human activity” zones.

Concomitant to the orchestrated mortgage meltdown, there is the Orwellian-sounding planned “credit crunch” - meaning that businesses who operated on the knife-edge and had to use credit to continue operating day-to-day are no longer able to get the credit they require. No more ships bringing in goods, truckers able to deliver goods, employers able to pay employees. The domino effect which we have begun to see will enlarge to horrific corporations, rendering those crappy burger-flipping jobs an enviable situation, except that people won’t even be able to afford those crappy burgers. Grocery stores run completely out of stock in three days; without stock being brought to them by trucks, it makes for a desperate situation and desperate people.

Without jobs, no one can consume, without consumption the entire US economy collapses. The US government is in the process of defaulting on it’s debts - SmartMoney.com said, “short-term Treasury yields actually turned negative.” The US Dollar will have to be demonetized at some point in 2009 which will instantly render all paper currency worldwide totally valueless. With empty grocery stores and no means of exchange, there will be food riots very quickly. Be assured that power companies, television and cable will still be working at that time, even though other business will not be. This is important to the plan because everyone will be glued to their “tee-vee” waiting for Mother Government to tell them what is going on and what they should do. And the New World Order plan will shift into high gear at that point.

Local representatives of Mother Government will announce that all hungry, desperate people should all go quietly and calmly to the nearest school, community center or some other large place and Mother Government will “help” them, feed them and their children. This, of course, will be the pick up points to transport people to FEMA camps (all 1400 of them) so they can be ‘taken care of’ and provided with the things they need. Here is the document that says exactly how people will be processed in. Here is the list of Executive Orders allowing the President to nix the Constitution, suspend the Congress and institute Martial Law, separate families, remove entire communities, take possession of all communication, food sources, water supplies and so on. And woe unto you if you have a skill that would be helpful to Mother Government! You can be conscripted, without remuneration and they don’t have to return you. How is that for an employer from hell?

After most hungry and scared sheeple obey the talking head on the “tee-vee” and go willingly to the camps, there will be some who have heeded the advice and taken steps necessary to provide emergency food, buy guns and ammunition and safety gear for themselves and their families. These hold-outs will be problematic for Mother Government and the New World Order plan. Rest assured that as people are processed into the camps and their information entered into the IRIS system, it will be checked against the consolidated databases and the hold-out’s names will be noted. Remember, once Martial Law is declared due to the emergency of dollar demonetization, there is no more Constitution, there are no more rights. Hold-outs will be considered enemies of the State.

When most Americans are ’safely’ within the clutches of FEMA, the squalid conditions, lack of medication, forced vaccinations, and sub-standard, irradiated and non-nutritive food will cause many deaths, but that’s fine because it is further depopulation. More people dead = less slaves to manage. Some will be assigned to work crews to demolish the abandoned and repossessed houses in the “no human activity zones,” others will be working on the cities for the massive influx of slaves [EO 1104], once the work is done and the controllers are ready to repopulate the cities.

Mother Government has an electronic dossier on each person containing any and all information obtainable - that given willingly to Mother Government and that gleaned from extensive data-mining operations, legal and illegal. It contains not only school and medical records, travel, employment and purchasing history, social network, communications, your political leanings and everything else they can get their hands on, and it all adds up to your “data double” for which they run algorithms to figure out your personality, and mental and emotional state. It contains everything there is to know about you that they can obtain, and they think they know you. With this information, they run simulations to determine what your reaction will be to any given stimulus, and the reaction of others with a similar profile, to determine the best way to eliminate you.

With extensive satellite and land-based surveillance, smart dust and other technologies, they will be able to determine where the hold-outs are, and with the results of their simulations, the best way to mitigate the trouble a hold-out may cause. This will include massive aerial spraying in order to sicken hold-outs, ruin crops and kill livestock not already in the hands of Mother Government. There will be no mercy, as those who think for themselves and truly value freedom are the most dangerous to their plan.

But do no forget that more people are waking up every day due to the dedicated and dynamic efforts of Patriots everywhere; and there are many, many more of us than there are of them. If we redouble our efforts at education (especially of law enforcement and military) and preparation, we have a real chance at not only slowing down the nefarious New World Order plan, but stopping it. Only five per cent of the population fought the British in the Revolutionary war - the colonists were out-gunned, out-manned and out-spent, but their determination to be free outweighed everything that was thrown at them. What we face is a much greater tyranny and truly diabolical people who are bent on the near destruction of the human race.

This is a hellish, nightmarish scenario, but if one reads the documents the plan is laid bare for all to see. Time is very, very short, and those who understand must do everything in their power to educate others and prepare for what is coming. If you don’t take care of yourself, Mother Government will.

The head of the International Monetary Fund has warned that advanced nations will be hit by violent civil unrest if the elite continue to restructure the economy around their own interests while looting the taxpayer.

During a speech in Madrid, Dominique Strauss-Kahn said that “social unrest may happen in many countries - including advanced economies” if governments failed to adequately respond to the financial crisis.

“He added that violent protests could break out in countries worldwide if the financial system was not restructured to benefit everyone rather than a small elite,” reports the Guardian.

Strauss-Kahn’s comments echo those of others who have cautioned that civil unrest could arise, specifically in the U.S., as a result of the wholesale looting of the taxpayer and the devaluation of the dollar.

Widely respected trends forecaster Gerald Celente recently told Fox News that by 2012 America will become an undeveloped nation, that there will be a revolution marked by food riots, squatter rebellions, tax revolts and job marches, and that holidays will be more about obtaining food, not gifts.

Back in October, Senator Chris Dodd said that revolution would unfold if banks refused to lend money.

“If it turns out that they are hoarding, you’ll have a revolution on your hands. People will be so livid and furious that their tax money is going to line their pockets instead of doing the right thing. There will be hell to pay,” Dodd told the New York Times.

Last month, leading economist Nouriel Roubini said that food riots would be the ultimate consequence of the Federal Reserve and the Treasury’s current policies.

Riots and demonstrations have gripped normally sedate Iceland following a financial catastrophe that has wiped out half of the krona’s value and put one third of the population at risk of losing their homes and life savings.

Expectations of violent civil unrest have not gone unnoticed by the U.S. Army War College’s Strategic Institute, who recently issued a report warning that the United States may experience massive civil unrest in the wake of a series of crises which it terms “strategic shock.”

The consequence? The necessity to use “military force against hostile groups inside the United States,” according to the report.

Tens of thousands of active duty military personnel returning from Afghanistan and Iraq are set to conduct “homeland patrols” inside the U.S. and their duties will include tackling “civil unrest and crowd control,” according to a Northcom announcement earlier this year.

As a BBC report notes, at least some of the Mumbai attackers were not Indian and certainly not Muslim.

Pappu Mishra, a cafe proprietor at the gothic Victorian Chattrapati Shivaji Terminus railway station, described “two sprightly young men dressed in black” with AK47s who were “foreign looking, fair skinned.”

Gaffar Abdul Amir, an Iraqi tourist from Baghdad, saw at least two men who started the firing outside the Leopold Cafe. “They did not look Indian, they looked foreign. One of them, I thought, had blonde hair. The other had a punkish hairstyle. They were neatly dressed,” Amir told the BBC.

Other “men walked into the cafe, drank beer, settled their bills and walked out. Then they fished out guns from their bags and began firing.” Muslims do not drink alcohol, that is unless they are Muslims like Marwan Al-Shehhi and Mohamed Atta, who reportedly not only liked to drink but enjoyed lap dances by topless dancers as well before they supposedly hijacked planes and flew them into buildings.

Even though these firsthand accounts indicate the attackers were white, drank alcohol and displayed the steely and professional reserve of trained military men, the emerging story carried by the corporate media blames the attacks on al-Qaeda and specifically Lashkar-e-Taiba, one Arab and the other Asian. “A terrorist group with training camps in Pakistan and strong ties with al-Qaeda as well as a history of mounting attacks in India yesterday became the chief suspect behind the atrocities,” reports the Times Online, pointing to Lashkar-e-Taiba.

As the Times Online admits, Lashkar-e-Taiba is a creation of Pakistan’s Inter-Services Intelligence, or ISI. It “receives considerable financial, material and other forms of assistance from the Pakistan government, routed primarily through the ISI. The ISI is the main source of LeT’s funding. Saudi Arabia also provides funds,” explains the South Asia Terrorism Portal. Lashkar-e-Taiba “also played a part in the ISI organized ‘Bosnian campaign against the Serbs,’ which was directed above the ISI by the CIA and British intelligence.”

According to Andrew G. Marshall, the ISI “has long been referred to as Pakistan’s ’secret government’ or ’shadow state.’ It’s long-standing ties and reliance upon American and British intelligence have not let up, therefore actions taken by the ISI should be viewed in the context of being a Central Asian outpost of Anglo-American covert intelligence operations.”

The presence of “foreign looking, fair skinned” commandos who calmly gunned down dozens of people after drinking a few beers indicates that the Mumbai attacks were likely the work of the Anglo-American covert intelligence operatives, not indigenous Indian Muslims or for that matter Arab al-Qaeda terrorists. The attacks prepare the ground for the break-up of Pakistan and the furtherance of destabilizing terrorism in the Middle East and Asia. The Mumbai attacks had little to do with India or the relationship between Muslim Pakistanis and Hindu Indians.

“Pakistan’s position as a strategic focal point cannot be underestimated. It borders India, Afghanistan, China and Iran,” concludes Marshall. “Destabilizing and ultimately breaking Pakistan up into several countries or regions will naturally spread chaos and destabilization into neighboring countries. This is also true of Iraq on the other side of Iran, as the Anglo-American have undertaken, primarily through Iraq, a strategy of balkanizing the entire Middle East in a new imperial project.” (See Marshall’s Divide and Conquer: The Anglo-American Imperial Project.)

It is no mistake, as well, that Barack Obama has called for action against Pakistan. “If we have actionable intelligence about high-value terrorist targets and President Musharraf won’t act, we will,” Obama said last August.

Regardless of who occupies the White House, the global elite are determined to continue their agenda of violence and murder in order to realize order through chaos. Obama and the Democrats will spend the next four years blaming George W. Bush for what the neocons have done while making sure the same destructive policies remain in effect. It is a shell game. George Bush and Barack Obama control nothing, they are little more than front men for the New World Order.

FORCED CONTRACEPTION

How crazy is this right here? An obvious police state like China forces contraception. I guess the "Western" world is not staying far behind. This is the first door opening for eugenics startegies like this. Where is this leading to?

Women in the Netherlands who are deemed by the state to be unfit mothers should be sentenced to take contraception for a prescribed period of two years, according to a draft bill before the Dutch parliament.
The proposed legislation would further punish parents who defied it by taking away their newborn infant. “It targets people who have been the subject of judicial intervention because of their bad parenting,” explained the author of the bill Marjo Van Dijken of the socialist PvDA. “If someone refuses the contraception and becomes pregnant, the child must be taken away directly after birth.”
When I see how some parents treat their children and come across adults who wish they’d never been born because of the abuse they endured as kids, I get some idea of where Van Dijken is coming from, but her proposed solution strikes me as far too draconian.
In fact, I have serious misgivings about the implications of this proposed law, and it raises a torrent of questions in my mind. Is it really the state’s role to protect the unborn and does it have the right to control people’s bodies in such a way and to deprive them of the basic right to procreate? Whatever happened to the presumption of innocence? Just because a parent was bad with one child, does it mean (s)he will repeat the offence?

At the time of this writing, the U.S. House and Senate are poised to pass a $700 billion bailout to Wall Street. At the behest of President George W. Bush, the U.S. taxpayers are going to be on the hook for what can only be referred to as the biggest fraud in U.S. history.

President Andrew Jackson to the international bankers: "You are a den of vipers and thieves. I intend to rout you out, and by the eternal God, I will rout you out."

Virtually our entire financial system is based on an illusion. We spend more than we earn, we consume more than we produce, we borrow more than we save, and we cling to the fantasy that this can go on forever. The glue that holds this crumbling scheme together is a fiat currency known as the Federal Reserve Note, which was created out of thin air by an international banking cartel called the Federal Reserve.

According to Congressman Ron Paul, in the last three years, the Federal Reserve has created over $4 trillion in new money. The result of all this “money-out-of-thin-air” fraud is never-ending inflation. And the more prices rise, the more the dollar collapses. Folks, this is not sustainable.

Already, Bear Stearns was awarded a $29 billion bailout, followed quickly by the bailout of Freddie and Fannie that will cost the taxpayers up to $200 billion. Then the Fed announced the bailout of AIG to the tune of $85 billion. Mind you, AIG is an enormous global entity with assets totaling more than $1.1 trillion. Moreover, the Feds agreed to pump $180 billion into global money markets. And the Treasury Department promised $50 billion to insure the holdings of money market mutual funds for a year. Now, taxpayers are being asked to provide $700 billion to Wall Street. (I hope readers are aware that, not only will American banks be bailed out, but foreign banks will also be bailed out. Then again, at least half of the Federal Reserve is comprised of foreign banks, anyway.) In other words, the Federal Reserve is preparing to spend upwards of $1 trillion or more. Remember again, this is fiat money, meaning it is money printed out of thin air.

All of this began when the U.S. Congress abrogated its responsibility to maintain sound money principles on behalf of the American people (as required by the Constitution) and created the Federal Reserve. This took place in 1913. The President was Woodrow Wilson. (I strongly encourage readers to buy G. Edward Griffin’s book, The Creature from Jekyll Island.) Since then, the U.S. economy has suffered through one Great Depression and several recessions–all of which have been orchestrated by this international banking cartel. Now, we are facing total economic collapse.

But don’t worry: the international bankers will lose nothing–not even their bonuses. They will maintain their mansions, yachts, private jets, and Swiss bank accounts. No matter how bad it gets on Main Street, the banksters on Wall Street will still have the best of it–President Bush and the Congress will make sure of that. This is one thing Republicans and Democrats can agree on.

America’s founders were rightfully skeptical of granting too much power to bankers. Thomas Jefferson said, “If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issuance of their currency, first by inflation and then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around them will deprive the people of all their property until their children will wake up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered.”

Jefferson also believed that “banking establishments are more dangerous than standing armies; and that the principle of spending money to be paid by posterity, under the name of funding, is but swindling futurity on a large scale.”

Daniel Webster warned, “Of all the contrivances for cheating the laboring classes of mankind, none has been more effectual than that which deludes them with paper money.”

If George W. Bush, John McCain, or Barack Obama had any honesty and integrity, they would approach the current banking malady in much the same way that President Andrew Jackson did. In discussing the Bank Renewal bill with a delegation of bankers in 1832, Jackson said, “Gentlemen, I have had men watching you for a long time, and I am convinced that you have used the funds of the bank to speculate in the breadstuffs of the country. When you won, you divided the profits amongst you, and when you lost, you charged it to the bank. You tell me that if I take the deposits from the bank and annul its charter, I shall ruin ten thousand families. That may be true, gentlemen, but that is your sin! Should I let you go on, you will ruin fifty thousand families, and that would be my sin! You are a den of vipers and thieves. I intend to rout you out, and by the eternal God, I will rout you out.”

What President Andrew Jackson said to the bankers in 1832 is exactly what an American President should say to these criminal international bankers today. But what George Bush, John McCain, and Barack Obama want to do is provide amnesty for the international bankers. No amnesty for Wall Street. Instead of sending these banksters on extended vacations to the Bahamas with millions of taxpayer dollars in their pockets, we should be sending them straight to jail!

The only way to fix this economic mess that the international bankers have created is to return America to sound money principles, as prescribed in the U.S. Constitution. This means dismantling the Federal Reserve and the Internal Revenue Service, overturning the 16th Amendment and the personal income tax, and returning the American monetary system to hard assets: gold and silver. Anything short of this will only delay and worsen the inevitable collapse that has already begun.

The internet is one of the last mediums that will provide you with uncontrolled, uncensored information. It is a network on which anyone with internet access can voice an opinion. Ofcourse, there are big parts of the internet that can be steered by providers but until now there is no clamp down on the internet making it turn out like the television network which is so tightly controlled that hardly any uncensored information gets through. The providers wanting to control more of what happens on the internet is not in the past. It goes on to this day and will go on in the future. Remember, educated and informed people are not as interesting as uneducated and controlled people.
